Going in and out of the Brown Bear cabin just got that much easier! We replaced our hinged screen door, that didn’t quite close all the way, with this nice roller and magnetic style door. Now you can leave the back door open and keep out the bugs. 🚫🦟

When you find a great place you just want to go back again and again. This was Serene's second time staying at our cabin, which I totally love.

I also love that Serene shared with me how many fish her family caught! Fishing is one of the primary activities around Cooper Landing, so its nice when you get some fish.

FAQ: Are there any good restaurants
or places to eat in Cooper Landing?

Answer: Yes, there are some good restaurants in
Cooper Landing, including Two Brother’s BBQ, The
Buckaroo-Crepes to Go, and Blue Yeti inside the
Cooper Landing Brewery.

As a small town, the options are somewhat limited, but
there are still some great dining options available.

One popular option is Gwin's Lodge, which serves
classic American cuisine such as burgers, sandwiches,
and seafood dishes. Cooper Landing Brewing
Company is a great spot for craft beer lovers, and they
partner with Blue Yeti to serve pub-style food like
burgers, sandwiches, and fries.

The Buckaroo is a food truck that serves delicious
crepes with both savory and sweet fillings. They also
offer a variety of breakfast items and coffee drinks.

Two Brothers Roadhouse is a favorite spot for pizza
and Italian dishes. They also offer a selection of beer
and wine.

Overall, the food in Cooper Landing tends to be hearty
and filling, with a focus on American comfort food

Looking for an easy way to teach your kids the different types of salmon in Alaska?

Using your hand, each finger helps us remember a species and its nickname:
- Thumb: "Thumb rhymes with chum," perfect for Dog salmon.
- Pointer finger: "Point to your eye," which rhymes with sockeye. Poking your eye makes it red, just like the salmon.
- Middle finger: The largest finger represents the king of salmon, the Chinook.
- Ring finger: Think of silver rings for the CoHo or silver salmon.
- Pinky: The smallest finger reminds us of the pink or humpy salmon.

This hole in the wall has annoyed me for years!

It’s the space left from a toilet paper holder when this area was a half bathroom. One of the first remodels we did was convert the half bathroom into a eating nook.

Swipe to see how it covered up!👏🏻👏🏻🙌

About us

Cooper Landing Lodge started off as our weekend home in Cooper Landing, AK in 2014. Our family enjoys fishing and hanging around the campfire, but not the discomfort of sleeping on the ground and loading up the car when camping. As the summer of 2018 came to an end, a local Cooper Landing resident offered to help us run our home as a Vacation Rental to others. This was the start of us opening our home to strangers in the hopes they are able to create cherished memories using Cooper Landing Lodge as a base camp.
