Tejun Fowler Horseshoeing

Tejun Fowler Horseshoeing I am a farrier and a Horse Person. As a farrier and cowboy I have been practicing my entire life. We did have our share of class study and tests.

I am 34 years old, I cannot count the horses I have trimmed and shod, as well as rode and trained. I was raised by a Horseshoer/dayworkingcowboy and was capable of shoeing a horse by the time I was fifteen. In the photos you can find a picture of me under a horse at about 12-13 years old. When I graduated High School I went to Sierra Horseshoeing School in Bishop California, it was three months, f

ive days a week, eight hours a day, most of it Lab time as the instructors stressed real practical experience verses class time. Most was hands on practical though. After that I went to Phoenix Arizona and apprenticed under Trevor Hirshberg. Now I am operating out of Coos County and been doing so since April of 2011

Some interior work on the van. Pardon the theatrics. It feels good to imagine, design, forge, cut and weld something into existence. Notice the horseshoe horses on the anvil stand.

The interior of my farrier van is coming along.

This was a big milestone in my life. Looks like 7 years ago I transitioned to shoeing horses full time. 7 years and the business is still growing(despite the best efforts of my hatersπŸ˜„πŸ˜„). Went from a Mercury Sable, to a Ford Ranger to a Ford F150 to a Ford Transit. Every single one of my tax returns the gross income just keeps going up. I try to reflect that growth by investing in my tools my van and my craft. Here is to 7 more years Coos, Douglas, and Curry County! Love Ya!! You all the real MVP!!

I just did a spreadsheet of my client list and horses. These are all regularly scheduled(6 to 8 weeks) I did not include intermittent clients.

I have 72 regular clients.
169 horses
2 donkeys
28 miniature horses
12 miniature donkeys
6 draft horses
3 mules
220 total animals.

Out of all of those I shoe 42 of them and trim 178 of them.

Taxes mark the end of the year for me. Another record year, record income, record number of horses done, record amount of supply paid for. Thank you again Coos, Curry, and Douglas counties for your support since 2011. I have to say as my book sits now I have simply the greatest group of clients and horses any farrier could ask for. Here is to another stellar year in 2019! Thanks again.

Pretty big hoof resection on a major white-line case. One or two more cycles left and it will be all gone.
