My husband and I just recently purchased this property in January 2016. We are so excited to bring life back to this amazing property that has longtime Coral Bay roots. You will be mesmerized by the outstanding view from this mountain perch, while you gaze at the colorful beauty of Coral Bay Harbor and the British Virgin Islands. Watch hawks soar past, feel the cooling breezes, and drink in the pe
ace and quiet that is here, surrounded by the Virgin Islands National Park that covers 3/4th of the island. At Mountain Haven vacation cottage, we’ve created a haven for those who wish to be immersed in the magical beauty of St. Enjoy the stunning view from the deck of aquamarine turquoise seas filled with sailboats, the nearby forest trails to centuries-old Danish ruins, and the bountiful starry skies at night. One cannot help feeling tranquility here, surrounded by a lush tropical dry forest, with its native plants, fruit trees, and wonderful variety of bird life. John vacation rental is completely private and quiet, and offers a covered deck with ample space for doing your morning stretches, grilling a meal and nightly dining under the stars. It is here that you’ll want to spend much of your time, admiring the sweeping views of the turquoise coves of Coral Bay to the deep indigos of the Sir Francis Drake Channel and the islands beyond. This is truly a scene that captivates and inspires. Inside the cottage there’s a well-appointed kitchen, sitting area with large screen TV, master bedroom with queen-sized bed, and sleeping loft with 2 twin beds. Built by longtime resident’s of St John in the traditional West Indian style of architecture, the cottage exudes authentic Caribbean charm, from its hand carved stairs to the loft, to its outside shower and the original island art on its walls. The interior is amply cooled by ceiling fans and mountain breezes, so there’s never a need for air conditioning (we did add air conditioning to the master bedroom only in February 2016). This allows you to fully appreciate the sounds and sensations of nature, from soft tropical breezes to the calls of tropical birds and the tiny but distinct coqui frogs. The cottage is located only a short ride to the quiet village of Coral Bay, with its great nightlife, shopping and restaurants. For those avid hikers who may want to explore St. trailhead, in the VI National Park, is only a short hike away from your door, offering access to beautiful Lameshure Bay on the south side and the entire trail network of the National Park. see Google Earth -- 18 deg 20’ 18.25” N by 64 deg 43’ 7.5” W.
