For our followers who are not local, let us take a moment to introduce ourselves. We are Ed and Beth Brokamp, from Corning, KS. Once we acquired the former Corn Crib Restaurant and Coring General Store, we spent several months, demoing and remodeling the building to accommodate our guests.
By day, Ed owns and operates Brokamp Electric, Inc., while Beth works for Nemaha Valley Community Hospital. In our spare time, we also farm a few acres. Our hobbies are what brought this vision to life. Ed enjoys carpentry and wood working while Beth loves crafting and decorating! Having assistance from family and friends was helpful too.
Corning is a quiet, family friendly town, located 12 miles south of Seneca. The Centralia Lake is 10 minutes away and Banner Creek is approximately 30 minutes away. Our city park homes new playground equipment and a sand volleyball court. You can find the locals at a wedding dance, listening to a band at our local bar, or attending youth activities.
Being Corning residents ourselves, we are easily accessible for any needs during your stay. Unleaded and Diesel pumps are located a block away and we have soda machines on site.
We enjoy camping, boating, and all outdoor activities. When it is time to relax we can be found at the local lake, or our family farm.
The Crib welcomes all varieties of guests. Business trips, girls nights, hunting trips, wedding parties, family gatherings, and holiday visitors are just a few we have hosted so far.
We look forward to hosting you and your families and hope you enjoy your visit to Corning!
