Who wants to play PICKLEBALL during summer 2024? Consider reserving a court over by the Fitness Center when you stay with us at Rest-a-Shore. There is a small hourly fee. They even have racquets and balls you can use!

If you need something to do one afternoon or evening, take a ride down to Kill Devil Hills. Walk out onto the Avalon Pier. It is like going back in time. Check out view, see what they are catching, or even play an arcade game. (there is a fee in the summer to walk to the end). Then head on over to Awful Arthur's Oyster Bar. Great food. We love the new england clam chowder! There is even a beach shop next door for some vacation souvenirs.

Look what we saw this weekend on an early AM sunrise walk in the beach! This is right at our beach access. Always amazed at the beauty of OBX. (The Wild Horse Association was driving behind the horses safely getting them back to the 4x4 area). If you see horses this summer, please share in this post!

Here is another place we love to visit while in OBX, Jockey's Ridge State Park. Hike up the HUGE sand dunes to view a sunset, fly a kite, or take a boogie board and sled down! A great place to visit for everyone and TONS of fun! Has anyone else ever visited this awesome state park??

April sunrises are the best! April and May is a great time to visit. Warm days, cool nights, stores and restaurants are opening, but less crowds!

Down for the weekend to do some work on the house and so we had to get some Corolla Pizza & Deli! Best pizza. Consider giving it a try this summer. Best part, it is less than a mile away!!

Summer is over. Can't wait to return to Rest-A-Shore in a few days. Can't wait to sit on the front top deck for another sunrise. How cool - this was a sunrise coming and a moon setting on an early August morning. Anyone else see a beautiful sunrise this summer? Please reply and share!
