Very sad news. If you are driving on the 4x4 please use caution, be aware of the horses (day and night) and give them lots of space. Remember there are tours available if you want to see the horses and are inexperienced in driving on this beach.

A wild horse was euthanized after being struck by a vehicle on a beach in Corolla, according to the Corolla Wild Horse Fund.
