Friends……please, please, please do not book your trips, places to stay, or anything through Craigslist or an ad on any social media account. There are scammers everywhere! 🤬

Every year we get families that show up thinking they have a reservation when they soon realize their codes don’t work for entry and no one is answering their phone calls. Once I am made aware, I learn they booked through an ad or Craigslist to get a good deal. They sent money. They signed a rental agreement. They did everything they thought was right. The only thing is they weren’t working with a reputable company.

I always feel so horrible. I hate that a family’s vacation is ruined because of a jerk. So please, pay a few dollars more and know your reservation is secure.

I’m done ranting. Have a great summer!!

When you’ve always been able to drive on the beach, find your perfect spot, and not have to haul the days supplies a mile before enjoying some beach time, you might be spoiled. So...I’ve been pretty mad at for closing our beaches. I think I even pitched a few fits. 😩 But TODAY, call me spoiled or whatever you want to call me.....BUT, WOOHOO our beaches are open for driving again. 💙This is beach life!!! 🏖😎🌊🏖

As I stand here at the shore, I’m struck with such conflicting emotions. Awe and majesty fill my mind as to what the power of wind and water from a hurricane can do. And yet there’s this sadness when something that was so beautiful is reduced to brown muddy waves and bacteria filled sea foam. But through it all, this is what I know, something beautiful will emerge once more from the brokenness that now is. Beauty always emerges. Always. 🌊🐟🏝☀️
