Water Works of Texas strives to help our clients increase their bottom line by offering our expert utility billing services to multi-family communities across the state of Texas. Water bills, rising water costs, ever-changing billing guidelines – Who has time for that? In fact, our founder was a certified property manager-turned-entrepreneur who was looking for a better way- a better way to increa

se the property's cash flow, reduce data entry, and water-related phone calls. An extensive search for an all-encompassing water billing company revealed that there were no companies that were as dedicated to both property owners and residents as they should be. As a result, Water Works of Texas was established in 2002. For over thirteen years, WWT has been solving problems before they arise. By accurately accounting for individual resident usage, WWT allows you to promote conservation to your residents while recouping your rising water costs. Reach out to WWT today and experience a business designed with you in mind!

Areas of Texas are expecting dicey weather soon. If temperatures dip below 32 °F for an extended period, water pipes can freeze, burst, and cause significant damage. Prevent winter weather mishaps with these tips.

1) Let your faucets drip during the entire duration of the freeze. Drip hot and cold water in a fine stream in your apartment's faucets: kitchen sink, bathroom sinks, bathtubs, showers, etc. Catch the drip and use the water for other purposes, like watering plants or filling the dog's water bowl. Take special care when preparing your washer/dryer, especially in an outside patio closet.

2) Open your cabinets. Leave the cabinet doors under all sinks open to ventilate the pipes with warm air- leaving the bathroom and kitchen doors open, too.

3) Heat your home. Please turn it on to your desired lowest setting (60 ° is recommended). Do not turn the heat completely off if you leave for the day (or an extended period).

4) Be alert. If you see anything unusual - for example, if your water does not come on, or if you see water leaking anywhere in or around your apartment building, notify the leasing office and the maintenance team immediately!

5) Follow all management instructions to reduce the risk of burst water pipes that will cause the loss of water services.

6) Bring in hanging and potted plants.

7) A wintery mix and ice accumulations can bring hazardous walking conditions. Be very careful on walkways, balcony areas, and stairs!

Stay informed and follow local guidance for winter weather safety.

We are privileged to serve Texans from the Coastal Plains to the Great Plains and areas in between. With the National Weather Service cautioning Texans to watch for floods this weekend, we want to send this critical reminder- Turn Around, Don't Drown.

"A mere 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock over an adult. It takes just 12 inches of rushing water to carry away most cars, and just 2 feet of rushing water can carry away SUVs and trucks. It is NEVER safe to drive or walk into flood waters."

Stay safe, Texas!

Each year, more deaths occur due to flooding than from any other thunderstorm related hazard. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report that over half of all flood-related drownings occur when a vehicle is driven into hazardous flood water. The next highest percentage of flood-related de...
