Give Kids The World is an organization that provides critically ill children and their families with week long wish vacations at no cost to them at their 89 acre nonprofit resort in Kissimmee, Florida. The Be Our Guest Podcast Live Show and Auction benefiting Give Kids The World will be taking place on March 8, 2025! The Magic For Less Travel is thrilled to partner with good friends at Magical Wishes for Kids to help make more dreams come true.

Last year's live show and auction raised nearly $50,000 and we need your help to do that or more this year! In particular, we are looking for items for our auction. We are looking for all kinds of things like Disney Theme Park pins, ears, purses, backpacks, popcorn buckets and even vintage Disney items.

Are you crafty or know someone with those skills? Handcrafted items always do well at the auction.

Do you have a friend or relative who owns a business? Give Kids the World would love to have items donated from businesses as well.

If you are interested in donating an item or participating in the auction, please reach out to us for more detailed information. The floating speaker of the Disney Treasure will be one of the items in this year's auction!

The Stateroom Hosts do an amazing job of keeping your cabin spotless and leaving special friends for you to find each evening. The level of creativity and whimsy is off the charts and just another example of why we love to cruise with Disney.

The Disney Magic is presently sailing out of the Port of Galveston and offers a unique opportunity for those guests who are looking to save on airfare by driving to the port. We drove to Galveston the day before our ship tour and stayed at The Tremont House which is on the historic Strand. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping opportunities within easy walking distance of the hotel and parking for the port is nearby. If you are thinking of a Disney cruise, then reach out to us for more information!

What do you do when you have some free time on the Strand in Galveston? We go and visit our friends at Milagro Imports and Design! They recently relocated their store to a nearby building, but are open and ready to serve cruise guests looking for all things Mexico! We had dinner with some of the TMFLT team at The Spot on the seawall last night and kept our fingers crossed that the Disney Magic would not get delayed by the heavy fog. She made it to port early this morning so our ship tour is on!!!

We started our adventure on the Disney Wish and witnessed two things we've never seen before on a stop at Castaway Cay. The first was rays swimming off the pier where the ship was docked and the second was a helicopter medical evacuation. Hopefully the guest is doing better and it was great to see the rays gliding silently near the Wish. The Wish and the Treasure are very different from the Dream and the Fantasy, who are in turn, very different from the Magic and the Wonder. Disney Cruise Line offers a multitude of destinations on six beautiful ships with more coming at the end of the year! Home from our cruises aboard the Disney Wish & Disney Treasure! There was a little bit of everything on this adventure and a great reminder that travel is always going to present challenges. The key is in how you choose to respond when the unexpected occurs. We are grateful for the friends we have made on Disney Cruise Line and look forward to sailing with them again in the future.

A little cool & windy this morning on the island. Yesterday’s sea day was sunny & 79 degrees so welcome to the Caribbean in January! There is so much going on around the ship with tastings, tours & pool deck fun. Dinner at Palo last night in the private room was amazing and emblematic of the excellent service we have received all week. We can’t say enough good things about Disney Cruise Line and their commitment to guest service!

Plaza de Coco is amazing! The theme, the attention to detail, the food, the music & the performers are all phenomenal! We experienced the second part of the story last night with the celebration of family, past & present. It was beautiful and moving as it was the third anniversay of my Mom's passing.

Dined at Enchante on the Disney Treasure last night. It was our first time to experience this culinary journey. We had an amazing time being led through so many incredible flavors and courses! The dinner was so wonderful we failed to take many photos. We highly recommend this restaurant for those looking for an immersive French inspired menu.
