Well, we're as ready as we can be. Second dose of hurricane in less than 2 weeks. The Sea Gypsy is prepared with anchors, should she begin to float during the storm surge. The mast has been lowered to help reduce any effects of the wind, and the roof has been strapped down. A cellular camera will keep us updated through the storm (pending loss of cell service).

Our thoughts are with everyone in the path of Hurricane Milton. The region is still in the beginning stages of cleaning up from Helene, and now this.

We hope to see you on the other side. I'll try and post some updates as long as the camera is still connected.

The Sea Gypsy is safe and sound. We are EXTREMELY fortunate to have already been out of the water and not tied to our dock. Everything near the water in our region has sustained severe damage from storm surge. Please stay off the roads and let emergency personnel have the space they need for rescue operations, assessments, etc. Our thoughts are with all those who have been impacted by Helene.
