Having a trusted travel advisor by your side to help you plan your vacation is important! Story time….

Docked in Cozumel yesterday, walking the pier back to our ship (on the left, the Wonder of the Seas), I overheard the following conversation:

Daughter (about 7 years old): “Mom, I want to get on that ship instead - that one has the water slides!”

Mother: “Me too, I thought our ship would have waterslides!”

The moral of the story is Royal Caribbean, like many cruise lines, offer a large fleet of ships with varying amenities, for guests who enjoy all different types of cruises. It is easy to find the right fit with a well educated and experienced travel advisor, so you aren’t expecting the excitement and onboard offerings in many Royal Caribbean ads that the Wonder of the Seas and other ships offer, but book the more laid back, traditional ship like the Enchantment of the Seas on the right. Same cruise line, different offerings! Don’t find yourself with “pier envy!!!”

I have basically taken up residence in the Solarium on Royal Caribbean’s Wonder of the Seas! This adult exclusive area is covered (and air conditioned!) with 180 degree views on the front of the ship. With its own bar, hot tubs, cooling pools and bistro, it’s the best place to relax onboard. We had a gloomy couple of days to start our cruise, but it felt tropical and sunny in here! Plenty of seating and the service is excellent!

Specialty dining on the Wonder of the Seas is WORTH IT!! My goal for this trip is to try ALL the dining options onboard for first hand experience to share with my guests when they sail with Royal.

Yesterday we enjoyed Izumi Hibatchi for lunch, and Wonderland for dinner. BOTH were as entertaining as they were delicious. If you have a chance to experience either, I highly recommend it!
