Please see below for the latest update, as of Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 10:50 AM, from Newton County Ga Government EMA regarding the air in our area:

"Overnight winds have shifted bringing heavy clouds and strong chemical odor into the County. Wind conditions can move the clouds and chemical odor into and out of any area throughout the day. EPD reports are still saying the air quality is deemed safe.

If you are in an area of high chemical odor or heavy smoke, we encourage you to take shelter in place precautions. Shelter in place precautions include:
• Stay inside and away from smoke
• Keep indoor air as clean as possible with windows and doors closed
• Do not run air conditioners
• Bring pets inside

Due to how crucial the winds are in the movement of the smoke, the situation remains fluid and we appreciate your patience in this matter. Your safety remains our No. 1 priority and we will continue to work with our state and local partners in assessing the situation and providing information.

On Saturday, June 22, 2024, Sunny Beach Cinema Saturday: Moana & The Little Mermaid (2023) sets sail onto the downtown Covington Square at 6 p.m. Bring your blanket or chair (and maybe a fan) to enjoy "Moana" and then "The Little Mermaid" (2023) on the big screen on the Square. Sunny Beach Cinema Saturday is FREE to enjoy in Square Park in downtown Covington. Don't forget to wear sunscreen!☀️

I barely hit the record button when this orb slid down from the wall behind the camera! Recorded June 19. At 11:20pm

I’ve been watching the cameras at the gallery after everyone leaves. The orbs I’ve recorded have been consistently active in the back corner. So, Kelly decided she wanted to hang out and see what happens.... watch for yourself! Recorded June 19 at 11:15 pm.

A visitor's story and video... The police have had 911 call from this house in Illinois from the cel phone where the man had died two years earlier. The phone is in families house in FL .......not in Illinois . Motion detectors were tripped before... that's why they got this camera system. This apparition was in this same location for 3 days and then disappeared.
