The last direct Samuels descendant to be born in The Samuels House certainly lived up to the family’s colorful history that preceded (and followed) her – and eventually landed her in the Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame alongside some other Samuels legends.

Today, the fearless and progressive Dixie Sherman Demuth was inducted into the Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame 🥃 Cousin Dixie fought to change state law, overturning a 200-year-old law allowing females to both serve and consume alcohol at public bars. Dixie was born on our property over 100 years ago and lived in this house as a child. Stay overnight in her room during your visit as you immerse yourself in bourbon history. Cheers to you, Dixie!
