These amazing shots of what is now-called CRT’s Mainstage Theatre (at 124 N Main Street) in 1966 when the twelve-member company arrived from the University of Kansas to start “Operation Summer Theatre” with help from the Creede Jaycees and Jaycee-ettes. That first season included the play, BORN YESTERDAY by Garson Kanin, as seen on the marquis in the first photo.

Looking for something to do on your Friday night? ⛸

The South Fork Visitor Center is hosting South Fork Skate Parties! Enjoy some music, food, and ice skating. The Silver Thread Outdoor Recreation Club will serve Green Chili and cornbread, hot chocolate and a sweet treat. There will be a bonfire, and you can jump on the ice skating rink with their free-to-use ice skates. This is a fundraiser for the Silverthread Outdoor Recreation Club, so please go out and support!
