The trailhead to Enderts Beach is only about 12 minutes from Bungalow Azul. Well worth exploring!
Enderts Beach is a favorite beach hike in the park, providing a good ocean experience. But Enderts Beach has a secret, a portal, a window to another world.
Most never see it. They come down the trail to the beach and go to the right toward the tide pool area. But, hidden out of sight and tucked behind the rock and cliff to the left is a tunnel that is only enterable when the tide is not high. Going through it opens up another half-mile of beach to explore that most never visit.
It's not really a secret, but it's also something we don't highlight. Are you the kind of person who likes PORTALS and secret places? Then come visit Enderts Beach on a low or dropping tide. Just make sure you come back through the hole before the high tide closes it off.
