This design adds plenty of useful space for family activities, lounging and for dining. It also provides all the benefits of a screened porch.

The 6ft. wide rear stairs are accented with two porch posts, topped with lighting fixtures. The optional lattice trim finishes off the deck skirting.

The upper deck provides for a picnic table, a BBQ, and some lounge chairs. The landing at the top of the stairs has been made extra wide to provide additional deck space and a convenient location for the built-in stairs.

Notice the stairs do not simply jut into the yard; they are built into the corner of the deck for a more professional look.
The stairs end on a brick paver landing that connects to the existing walkway and patio.

Outside Wood is Eventually Going to rot from moisture and decay. Maintenance and occasional painting will extend the life however often the weather elements win! What Are Your choices? You can replace with wood again with maintenance and painting all over again Or you can choose a composite/plastic and the painting ends! Only occasional cleaning is required with the plastic railings.
