It is VERY important to remember to stay safe on the ice this winter! ❄️🧊

As the temperatures drop and lakes freeze over, it’s important to keep ice safety in mind:

✅ Know the Thickness: Ice should be at least 4 inches thick for walking and skating, 5–7 inches for snowmobiles, and 8–12 inches for vehicles.
✅ Check Conditions: Ice can be unpredictable. Avoid areas with currents, cracks, or discoloration.
✅ Bring Safety Gear: Carry ice picks, wear a life jacket, and bring a buddy.
