Mr. Fluffy is not just charismatic but also a dedicated partner in Equine Assisted Services at MTR. Whether he's helping riders perfect their posting trot or teaming up with the goats for Equine Assisted Psychotherapy sessions, Mr. Fluffy is always offering valuable learning opportunities. Join us for a rejuvenating yoga session. Embrace tranquility surrounded by our beautiful horses and serene farm landscape. Yoga is for everyone and can be done while seated or standing. All abilities are welcome!

Barefoot: Encouraged for better grounding and balance.
Props: If you have props like a blanket, yoga blocks, a strap, or a tennis ball, bring them along for added comfort.

Krishnamacharya, the “father of modern yoga,” said, “If you can breathe, you can do yoga!” My mentor, Matthew Sanford, is a paralyzed teacher who exemplifies this inclusivity.

Getting a haircut can be a unique experience for kids with special needs and sensory differences. It's important to understand that each child is different and what works for one might not work for another.
🐴Sport is here to show us that haircuts can be a great experience!🐴 Horses can teach us many things, including what to expect when haircuts can be overwhelming!
Here are some tips to help make haircuts easier for kids with sensory differences:
🕑Choose the Right Time: Schedule the haircut at a time when the salon is less busy to reduce sensory overload.
✂️Visit the Salon in Advance: Let your child explore the salon beforehand so they can become familiar with the environment.
🖼Use Visual Aids: Picture schedules or social stories can help prepare your child for what to expect.
🐰Bring Comfort Items: Allow your child to bring a favorite toy or blanket to hold during the haircut.
✉️Communicate with the Stylist: Make sure the stylist is aware of your child’s needs and preferences.
🏠Practice at Home: Role-play haircuts at home to help your child get used to the sensation.
🎧Use Sensory Tools: Consider using noise-canceling headphones, weighted lap pads, or fidget toys to help your child stay calm.
Remember, patience and understanding go a long way. With the right approach, haircuts can be a positive and even enjoyable experience for your child!
