From the Bolivar Escape Room…
Starting today Escape The Asylum will begin its transformation into the new room. This room will be closed certain days for the painting process.
will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday as usual. It will still be open through the change as much as possible. The painting won't interfere with the room at all. Once everything is ready to be set and the new room ready it should only take a couple days to do the complete switch.
If you haven't done this room, BOOK NOW because you want to experience this one. Don't miss out.

Tale as Old as Time

The bond between Texas and Louisiana goes way back. A friendship that has stood the test of time…and the destruction from battles and weather. The support and love for each other runs deep. This is most apparent when we brace for hurricanes and tropical storms approaching from our shared Gulf of Mexico waters. Remembering back to Katrina in 2005, Texas welcomed Louisiana residents to safety in the Lone Star State. Texas housed, fed, and supported Louisiana through a terrible situation and helped them rebuild and return home. Thirteen years ago in 2008, Louisiana and Texas grasped hands together as they awaited Hurricane Ike and worked together through the terrible devastation that followed. Hurricane Harvey in 2017 brought flooding that drowned cities throughout Texas and Louisiana.

Texas is holding Louisiana in their arms right now as they work to repair the damage from Hurricane Ida. Ida made landfall on Louisiana this past Sunday, exactly 16 years from the day Hurricane Katrina rushed ashore. Ida was expected to be extreme and the reality is, they were right. The dunes really took a beating last year during one of the hurricanes that ended up turning east, saving Bolivar from a direct hit. But, you can really see how much erosion they suffered in this pic. Used to be all the way up to the red line,

Bulls on Bolivar is on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Festival Park benefitting Port Bolivar Volunteer Fire Department.

All the fun occurs at Festival Park, beginning at noon with bull riding and a calf scramble. Mutton Busting is at 3pm for kids less than 55 pounds. For $25 per child, sign up the day of starting at noon and ending when 40 is reached, or 2pm. Bull riding and calf scrambling comes again at 6pm.
