Moo sul Kwan (MSK) was founded in 1969 in Cape Girardeau, MO by Great Grandmaster Lee H. At Crystal City MSK, students will learn the traditional Korean Martial Art of Tae Kwon Do, as well as various self-defense techniques. They are designed to teach students self-respect, self-defense, and self-control through the discipline of Tae Kwon Do. As members of Crystal City Moo Sul Kwan, students will
learn the value of hard work, discipline, and a good attitude. Students will learn to respect not only themselves, but others around them. At Crystal City Moo Sul Kwan we offer high-quality martial arts instruction that teaches discipline and skills that will guide our children and adults toward improving their efforts in both education and life. With hard work, practice, and patience every student has the potential earn a black belt. Students promote based on a point system for attending classes, attending tournaments and events, placing in tournaments, and mastering techniques. Moo Sul Kwan Tae Kwon Do ranks begin with white belt and continue as follows: yellow, orange, green, blue, purprle, brown, red, 1st Dan Black Belt. There are nine black belt levels in Moo Sul Kwan Tae Kwon Do. Tae Kwon Do is the art of hand and foot technique. Students are tested based on their knowledge and mastery of skills including kicks, hand techniques, blocks, forms, and one-steps. As a Korean Martial Art, students in Tae Kwon Do will learn to count, understand, and give basic commands in the Korean language. Classes are $30 per month.
