Lately I’ve Been loving the time I get with my family! We all are boating more since I have built a life around it and made a living amongst it. This time spent, being it’s on the water simply makes it all the more special. Especially when we get alot done in a little bit of time, like how we Made quick work of the Trout on our half day! Leaving them hot & realsing multiple overslot as this fishery is doing very well. We had so many double hook ups and triple hookups which I shared a video of too! These trout are only gonna continue to feed more into the spring as the bait gets more prevalent and water temps get warmer.

Just Breathin with those that got me started. I seen a short window, called my family, & took our shot! It was late afternoon with the sun going down & me not wanting to wash the boat in the dark.. I knew we would only hit 1 maybe 2 spots. Straight to the first stop we went from the ramp (with a minor bait stop) after 45 mins of fishing we were satisfied & left the second spot to stay at rest. Here’s some of the quick pics we took from our rapid bit of chaos! Nothing crazy massive on this rock today but we easily caught our limit with many shorts mixed in wrapping it up after 5/6 fish a piece & some sore arms. There is no size nor bag limit on Smiles which is good because we caught Plenty of them! I’m super grateful to have to been the kick off this year on the Foster’s annual trip to Crystal River!! We had to hunt for fish, when we found them boy we found them & when we didn’t well we didn’t even find shorts. Safe to say we were fishing today. We got to a spot going bait for bait, staying busy I even had to hand line in 2 fish for Mrs. Tammy as we kept getting multiple hook ups with tangles amongst the chaos. Quick hoping spot for fish til we got what we wanted to end what was my day with them but start what looked to be a wonderful trip down to Fl. Hoping to see everyone again next year & become of the tradition! 🤙🏴‍☠️

Just Breathin, Catching Meals & Memories today to say the least! We had one of those days were you start to understand where the term “fishing in a barrel” comes from. Working through easily 60/70 trout (mostly shorts) to find the keepers we did. Greyson here was not only able to catch his first saltwater fish but he used his skills to catch just about every keeper trout as dad an papa kept the little trouts busy lol! Greyson was quick to remind me that their names were dad/papa not Mr. Mark & Mr. Tyler 😂! From catching the trout we could to moving into redfish every spot was a blast just watching Greyson interact with his new passion of being on the water. One of the moments from our trip that I will never forget is I was moving down a bank so I had everyone reel in, once Greyson got in I seen his bait had been puffered so I grabbed his hook to put a new bait on for him telling him his baits gone he needs a fresh one. To which he with no hesitation goes “liar, lemme see!” So I let him see, replaced the bait and we got at it!

A lot changed from the to now, it’s not often I hear “I’ll see you next year, same time!” Then I actually do’ that is how it was & how it’ll be for these guys. Got the call exactly 12 months later, looking for the same date range! When I first had these guys out all I had was my lil John boat. We did a back waters trip, it was an epic day. Enough to secure this years plans. However, from December then to December now I’ve upgraded 2 boats to be in the ‘finally’ that I am now. I love seeing my repeat clients & I’m inspired by how much they love seeing our growth. It’s not just me that makes this happen! Back to the fish as per last year we hit pretty much the same stuff with a couple new doozies with great results! See you guys next year!
(Let’s try some warm weather this year..ok?)

Route ‘N Scout with the homie! All lures today covering water in new areas lookin for a pattern or a school with no real directive just after fish to catch. All artificial which is a great change of pace & kick ass to see when fish react to what & how you present is a thrill.

Just Breathin’ with the Fella’s! Nothin screams winter trip like running to FL from NC in December. Cold weather has the river stacked up as we worked through dozens & dozens of shorts to get the keeper fish we did, even getting some blue crabs & a bonus red at the marina, this cold sure has fish all over. I make the saying “if we get 1 fish a spot then dangit we will fish 100 spots” The hustle made the men today for sure, super grateful to have this opportunity & I’m looking forward to getting the crew back aboard again!

What an awesome half day we spent on the last day of snook season! Between the detours, sharing of local information, & of course the laughs I guess this trip got lost in my memory. Beat the rain ✅, catch a bunch of fish ✅, break some rods ✅, weird todo list on our trip but we got the mission accomplished! It’s always a pleasure to fish with this father son duo who have done it all from sky diving & traveling down to fishing with me. Yet they continue to get out & create more memories on the water with me for them. This I’m forever grateful, adding more reason to stay driven in & Just Breathe in this cold weather.

Just Breathin’ with my dawgs!! Talk about a family of fisherman, the day started with 11yr old Bryce dropping to his knees holding on for dear life it seemed as the rod tip went into the water I grabbed it with my right hand, grabbed him with my left, now with the rod & his little self on his feet it was all on him as he proceeded to crank up his personal best 31” gag grouper. Pops followed him with a much much heavier 30.5” gag. Big fish down the day was set to be great, we worked many more gags, double hook ups, even took advantage with some artificials in which Caleb got hooked on & made my 500 pinfish feel useless, lol! Basically we wore ourselves out on these “endangered” species til we ran in with the tide to grab us some redfish so we had something to toss in the box making the day come to an end with dinner plans in their future. Wonderful day, fishy dudes, & a happy captain!

Just Breathin’ was the best technique to keep the young one patient, every time he said can we move his bait got ate! Thank the fish gods for that one, always helpin me out with the little ones keepin them busy! Worked through a mess of fish to find what we wanted even getting everyone but Mom their first inshore slam’…it’s ok hers got off but we’ll still give some brownie points. Wonderful day, great time, & good weather. Amen. Who is ready to climb aboard with their krewe & get to fishin?!

Good fish, Great people, & no desire to keep trout, safe to say work was easy today! Once we got the water we wanted it was beatin bushes flowing in til the water stopped, moving to another bank line & repeat. Picking apart reds til we got the ones we wanted even managing a nice over slot. Excited to get everyone back on for the nearshore trip that we had to push off due to wind. Stay tuned!

Huff, puff, Pull & Cup that’s how we get Grouper up! Just trying to catch our Breath after a day of absolute Combat fishing with the strongest swimming rocks out there. Seen a gap to go hit some gags after a trip so I called up my brothas… needless to say the boys got it done! We only hit 2 spots less than 75 yards apart.. to think if we spent the day doing it.
