I had a duo of Ryan’s on the skiff today so it was only fitting that they caught matching overslots. Both of which were 28.5” and sightfished at that! These two were a pleasure to have out and each went home with their limit of redfish. See y’all on the next one!

Day 2 with Brenton was nothing short of epic! We spent the day deep in the trees and pushed the skiff until we had to get out and pushed it some more. The highlight of the day was watching this laid-up 32” bruiser torpedo forward and absolutely crush the fly in just a few inches of water! Needless to say, things got western on the 6wt.

Day 1 with Brenton was all about artificial in the backcountry. We broke out the panfish setup and had ourselves a blast! It’s hard to beat a day with no other boats in sight and plenty of laid up fish enjoying the sun and a well placed soft plastic.

This feels weird to say but stellar post front bite today in some unfavorable conditions. 20+ mph NE winds that wouldn’t lay down and quite the negative tide. I set out with Danny and Bryson on an ultralight mission and they let the 1000 sing! It was an absolute blast watching them go fish for fish on extremely light tackle. Can’t wait for the next one!

Final trip with Mr. Stark before he heads back up north to Wisconsin was nothing short of awesome! Unlike the past few days, the fish were fired up and provided what seemed like non stop action. I honestly had a hard time rerigging rods because I had to stay on the net. Biggest fish was 28” and a 26 spotter was the cherry on top! Till next year my friend.

Talk about a beautiful day. Ryan wanted to celebrate his son Kai’s 6th birthday on the water so we did just that! Our rods stayed bent all day as we w**ded through countless rats and picked up quality slot fish in between. The prefront bite fired off and made for a great time!

Jim called me up the other day and said he wanted to give his son Sam a solid send off before he deploys to Syria so what better way than to spend it on the water. We worked a couple big schools in the blistering heat. Sam caught his first redfish and then some and we topped it off with a couple kicker mangos to wrap up a great trip! Always a pleasure to have service members aboard. 🇺🇸
