Ran two trips yesterday. One veteran trip and another Gold Star family trip. Always an honor to have either of these folks on my boat to enjoy a day in the outdoors. Outdoors creates healing for so many such as myself! Catching awesome fish is always the bonus!

On Sunday we went out to find out what is going on in the deep water. Since the inshore fishing has been so great and the weather has been well not so great I haven’t had much of a chance to get out in the outside. We decided to go out in search of hogfish and whatever else would wear our arms out. Tina had a special request to eat her first hogfish and she started off our trip just right!

As always… a pleasure to have my Maine crew on the boat! We found an awesome mixed bag of fish but catching was the name of the game all day! The warm south wind air fired the fish up and we even kept a few for our annual “Christmas Dinner” with our fresh catch! The Katie Jo tacos were amazing as always and we devoured my favorite lightly fried fresh catch with their homemade tartar sauce!

Awesome day for the Mojo’s crew! Always a blast having them on the boat every year! Two boats and plenty of fish! We even caught keeper snook but two days… too late 😉😁

Our afternoon trip was all about the BIG fish! Overslot redfish and numerous overslot trout. We made a move and put our quick limit of trout together and a nice pompano and then headed to to have our fresh fish cooked for us!

We found another mixed bag of fish on today’s trip! Even found two hungry snook, one top slot and the other an inch too short. Found a few hogfish too but they were a little small to make them dinner. Today was definitely a day of catching fish for these guys!!

Mixed bag for the Maine crew today! Got our limit of reds early on. Then went on the hunt for our limit of trout. Decided to hit some nearshore rocks for hogfish, sheepshead, mangrove snapper and a couple of grunts!

Landed the biggest redfish caught on my boat this morning at 40 1/2 inches out of Crystal River! The weather put a damper on my charter trip so I decided to go out for about a hour before it got too bad. I was soaking wet and this big girl ate! She absolutely wore me out so much that I forgot to take a photo with her. I’ve only ever hooked two of these big fish like this before, both straightening out my jighead. Not today though! Today I caught her on a beautiful shrimp from @captainscove_outfitters and on a @thejigsforpigs which held up to her brute force!

Smashed some fish with the awesome @eco_outfitters_usa @kyndal_lynn and @jsemkow87 crew out of @discovercrystalriver Florida on the @youngboatsusa 22 Gulfshore! The @bullbayrods and @fish_shimano_north_america reels didn’t disappoint on our big fish day! All bait purchased @captainscove_outfitters

March 2024…. I am entering my 4th year as a full time, female fishing guide on Florida’s Nature Coast! What an incredible journey it has been! I have more exciting news to share in the next few days but I wanted to take a moment to share my story in the video. Thank you to everyone who has supported me, has had tough conversations about business with me, who has chose to fish with me, and to those who choose to fish with me in the future.

When you laugh so hard at your buddy… you’re crying 😂 this video explains our FUN fishing trip today! These active duty soldiers had a blast and I had so much fun with them on the boat! It was warm, calm and just pure beautiful out on the Gulf! We caught plenty of fish and laughed way too hard.
