Took my old buddy  Mark Borysiewicz and friends out the day hammered on some trout found a few reds. Had a great day on the water. I want to thank Tony Voodoo Charters for letting me borrow his boat until I can get a new lower unit.

Every day when I leave the dock I strive for these words to be said on my boat. Captain I’m done I cannot reel another fish in. Today was one of those days. Five fish over 33 a lot of keepers and a few unders on the Reds took a little bit to find them, but once we did, it was on. thanks for the help on that Capt Leon Hampton. Bounced around and found a few trout and pompano.

Start of the day out hammering on some redfish. Threw back a lot of over slots and slot fish. Moved on out found a few mangroves and grunts. Released a lot of under size trout. Found one for dinner. tangled with a handful of big jacks the full day trip turned into a half day due to heat stroke. Zero wind today it was hot. for those of you saying he’s got two redfish and only one angler. The other angler is sitting in the AC truck trying to cool off was not coming back out for no kind of pic.

Start of the day out hammering on some redfish. Threw back a lot of over slots and slot fish. Moved on out found a few mangroves and grunts. Released a lot of under size trout. Had a great time on the water with Ken and his family left the dock at eight  headed back in at 10:30 with a nice box of fish. Got the shell island. That’s one that bearings went out in the lower unit. Had to come a good buddy Tony or Voodoo Charters to come pull me home. Ran to Tampa got a new unit came back to the dock got it all installed back up and running for tomorrow. Then my crew gave me the fish for the day because they’re from out of town and I got the tent clean fish for 20 minutes. Fixing to turn it in.

My crew had a great time on the water today. We hit several spots and found enough fish for dinner. On the way back in my boat kept overheating.  my good buddy Leon Hampton came by and help me replace the water pump and come to find out it was a bad thermostat. So back on the water tomorrow to do it all again thank you Leon.

Bite was a little tough throughout the day. We manage to put a decent table together. At one point in time there was not a breath of air had to burn some fuel ran south to stay cool.  then back up north and finished up our day.
