All residents living in low-lying areas on the west side of Highway 19 who are subject to coastal storm surge should be advised that 𝗔𝗦 𝗔 𝗣π—₯π—˜π—–π—”π—¨π—§π—œπ—’π—‘, in collaboration with the City of Crystal River-Government and CCSO, Duke Energy and Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative, Inc. may shut off power to areas where flooding will comprise the safety of first responders, residents, and power crews.

With rising water levels, it becomes a safety risk for power crews to navigate electrical supply systems and for residents in the area.

At this time, it is unknown how long power will be disconnected.
