Welcome to our quaint mountain hideaway located along the scenic Highway of Legends next to Cuchara Mountain Park.

Our rustic condo is filled with reclaimed wood accents for an authentical cabin feel, and it’s ready for your family’s next holiday! This newly renovated two-bedroom unit is fully furnished with a fireplace, washer/dryer, and well-stocked kitchen to satisfy your every need. rk, you will be surrounded by scenic aspen trees, the Sangre de Cristo mountain range, and the Spanish Peaks with their impressive volcanic d**es. Open all the windows for the smell of fresh pine to drift in on the cool mountain breeze, enjoy the dark nights for prime stargazing, or simply cozy up for hot chocolate and a movie away from the buzz of your fast-paced life. When not relaxing in our condo, there is plenty to do nearby. Enjoy the warm inviting atmosphere at Cuchara's Higher Ground Coffee Bar with a picturesque deck overlooking Baker Creek. Visit the small village of Cuchara just three miles north for shopping or dining at the popular Dog Bar & Grill. Take a short drive and explore the history and thriving art scene of the charming town of La Veta. While there, be sure to visit the full-service deli and ice cream shop at Charlie’s Market. Do not miss breakfast or lunch in the garden at Ryus Avenue Bakery. Have a relaxing dinner on the patio at Legends on Main or sip some wine while listening to live music at Deerprint Wine & Bistro. Head south about 20 miles for a great breakfast spot at the Stonewall Shopping Bag restaurant where you can view hundreds of swarming hummingbirds during the summer. You might even catch a glimpse of a Calliope or Rufous hummingbird if you are into birding like me! However, always make sure to check current hours of operation for each place you plan to visit, for everyone is on mountain time and hours vary by season. If you are more into recreational activities, there is plenty to do for you, too! Hike on one of the many San Isabel National Forest trails, including Baker Trailhead located just outside the condo. On your walks, catch a glimpse of a variety of birds, wildlife, and fish. Swim or kayak at the popular Monument, Bear, and Blue Lakes. Drive to the volcanic d**e known as the “Apishapa Arch” through the Spanish Peaks Wilderness and Cordova Pass. Golf on the challenging 18 hole disc golf course along the creek and up the mountain of Cuchara Mountain Park. During the winter, visit the same park for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing along the creek. Plus, even more activities are being explored as the park develops! In short, there is as much or as little to do as you please; at Reclaimed Mood, it’s all up to you!

We have a lot going on at the Cuchara Mountain Park this summer. Here's a partial list of events with more to come.

JUNE 15- Strutt your mutt returns with a dog friendly hike exploring the park and surrounding trails. This will be a 2 to 3 hour strenuous hike to the top of lift 3. From there, those who want can continue on to the Indian Creek Trail down to Baker Creek Trail, back to the Park.

JUNE 16- Come celebrate Father's Day at the Park. We will have a cook-off for all who want to join. Loaner discs for Disc Golf, Beer and soft drinks for sale, and lots of family friendly activities for dads and their guests.

JUNE 23- The first of 3 Archery Shoots by Cuchara Valley Archery .

JULY 6- The 3rd annual FIRST CHAIR FEATIVAL.

JULY 19- Bachman and Associates Movie on the Mountain. This year:
The Goonies.

JULY 20- The 2nd of 3 Archery Shoots by Cuchara Valley Archery.

AUGUST 3- The final Archery Shoot. By Cuchara Valley Archery.

Now open 7 days a week! The weather is warming up, the grass is green and the mountains are coming to life! All this can only mean one thing, WE ARE OPEN! We are excited to say we are now open 7 days a week!

Our closing time will continue to expand as we have increased foot traffic, so please call if you are unsure!

Bands and music bingo will start on Memorial Day weekend! Check out our website for upcoming events and live music!

Snowy day

A beautiful snowy day at the condo. It’s a perfect time to come visit us in Cuchara! Airbnb.com/h/reclaimedmood

We had a very hangry guest visit us last night. This proves how dangerous and destructive the wildlife in the area can be and the reason why we try to educate our guests on ways to avoid incidents like this one. Hopefully she does not return any time soon.

Beautiful day at the condo! We were visited by a Broad-tailed hummingbird and a Black-headed Grosbeak. Several more birds visit as well as deer and other wildlife. I could sit here all day and watch them!
