This season is definitely the best and longest lasting fall color show I can remember.
Leaves are so bright and vivid, you need sunglasses! Reds, oranges and yellow galore.

Fall is coming! While you sit back home baking in the heat, we’re starting to notice some very subtle hints of fall in Cuchara!

There’s a hint of lime green in the aspens (this is right on schedule with years past) and we generally see an instant shift in the weather right after Labor Day… nothing major, but a definite shift to a fall feeling. Look closely at the two photos (they’re not great or showing off photography skills, but you can see the hint of change)

This is going to be a year with lots of bright oranges and reds. All the little hints are there for bright and vibrant fall colors!

Hard to believe we’re the middle of August already! Kids are headed back to school and the weather over the last few days has us all thinking of fall. With kids headed back, Cuchara slows way down. August and September become perfect times to book that last minute escape to the mountains and away from the city! Fall is just around the corner. Historically we see our first hint at a couple yellow leaves around August 15th leading to a spectacular color show in September and October.
