2019 NY Minigp Announcement
It is with much regret I announce that NY Minigp will not be conducting a series at OVRP for the 2019 season. This is a tough decision and very hard for me personally to announce. For the past 4 years I have made friends I can truly call family, trained kids into incredible racers and created a family atmosphere where entire families can enjoy a fun day and/or weekend at the track.
I feel that this decision needs an explanation to all my riders and parents.
The past couple of years I have personally undergone very difficult times that only a certain few people know. I lost my house, lost certain family members and friends that were close to me due to depression, stress, financial problems and my keen ability to keep everything that bothers me inside. I was very good at masking these bad times at the track due to the fact I loved being there and seeing progress with my riders both young and old.
This past year was the hardest, and I finally made the decision to open up to family and friends close to me. Through discussions with those close to me, a unanimous decision was made that the best thing for me right now is to start a new life, in a new state with family that truly cares for me and my well being. With that said, I have officially packed my stuff and made the drive to Florida two weeks ago for good.
I am giving myself a year to get back on track and to get my life back to where it was years ago. With this said, there may be a chance that NY Minigp will announce a schedule for the 2020 race season, although please do not quote me on this at this time.
This was very hard for me to announce, and I trust all understand that this was a personal decision that I needed to make in order to heal myself personally.
I expect all my racers to review NJ Minigps schedule for 2019. They have the largest grids in the Northeast for Minigp racing and only a state away. For those road warriors looking for an adventure, please review SLF Minigp, SC Minigp and NC Minigp.
I want to once again Thank everyone at OVRP, all my racers and their families for your support for the past 4 years and Happy Holidays to you and your family.
