Sometimes I have to remember to share a glimpse of some of the breathtaking places I am sending clients to. I have had several inquiries as to whether I am still booking travel. The answer is YES! I know I haven’t posted in a long time, but that is because I have been busy planning amazing trips for clients. I do a lot of small group tours and independent, custom itineraries for clients who want to visit a variety of locations, but don't want to be on a tour with other people. You give an overview of what you want to visit/see along with a budget and I can put it together. You don't have to come to me with a $20K budget to do amazing things. Over the last 6 months I have planned trips for regular families to incredible locations such as:

✅A week visiting Jackson Hole, Cody, Yellowstone, Rapid City, Mount Rushmore. While there they went whitewater rafting, enjoyed a rodeo, stayed inside Yellowstone, went rock climbing, and so much more.

✅A trip to Costa Rica to see everything from volcanoes to monkeys. Visiting a variety of locations, such as La Fortuna/Arenal Volcano, Monteverde, Manuel Antonio, Tamarindo where you can see the cloud forest, volcano, waterfalls, hot springs. See and do things you would never do here: zipline through a rainforest, rappel down a waterfall, visit monkeys and sloths in their natural environment, go tubing down a river, cross the hanging bridges in the cloud forest, make coffee, and relax in natural hot springs.

✅The ultimate South African experience with a side trip to Victoria Falls. A family visited South Africa, explored Cape Town, went up table mountain, saw penguins, explored wine country and ferried to Robben Island where Nelson Mandela spent 18 years of his life in a cell with no bed or plumbing. Then they checked off some ultimate bucket list items:
✔️spent several days on safari game drives in Kruger National Park searching for the Big 5: lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo and watching the sunrise over the reserve from a hot air balloon
✔️went to Victoria Falls and sat in Devil's Pool

✅Exploration of Scotland with stays in castles, small guest houses, riding the Harry Potter train, searching for Nessie, traversing underground vaults.

✅Christmas and New Year's in Paris with Christmas markets, food tours of Montmartre, visiting the Palace of Versailles, dining at the Michelin chef restaurant, and having the best hot chocolate in the world, ringing in the New Year with a dinner cruise on the Seine with the lights of the Eiffel Tower sparkling in the background.

And, remember, these are your friends and neighbors doing these things, not people who hit the lottery. Sometimes your dreams are more attainable than you realize!

I said I wanted to share some of the exciting trips I have been planning for people. You just might find something that checks off something on your vacation wishlist.

The first place I have fallen in love with recently as well as clients, is Palm Island Grenadines It is an all-inclusive resort located on the private Palm Island, part of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. It is an adults-only resort for most of the year (ages 16+ allowed). The only resort on the island, it has only 41 rooms and 2 villas, making for a true getaway.

They require a 7 night stay due to the location and how they have different activities planned during the week to make your experience truly memorable. You fly into Barbados and they take care of the transportation to the private island and it is included in your price (and you don't need a Kardashian budget).

This is a true all-inclusive resort, but includes so many special touches that are extras in other places. For dinner, you can choose to eat in one of the restaurants, but if you prefer to have a private table set up for you and your significant other on the beach with tiki torches, they can do that for you.

You want your lunch prepared as a picnic and set up on a secluded beach with a private cabana... done!

There are a variety of activities during the day. You can sit on the beach or by the pool with a book and a drink, swim in the stunning turquoise waters, go kayaking. At night, there is a variety of entertainment or you can just sit by the firepit under the stars where there is absolutely no light source blocking out the stunning sky.

Reading this and thinking, sounds great but I don't have the budget for that?

I can do a week for two adults for $6000 during much of the year.

You spend more than that if you are doing a trip to Sandals with hundreds of rooms. This is 41 rooms on a PRIVATE ISLAND!!!

Hello everyone! I know I haven't posted anything in a while and that is because I have been so busy planning amazing trips for people. I know you see me post some great deals on occasion, but to be honest, that isn't what I spend most of my time doing. There are a lot of people who don't realize what I offer and the experiences some of your friends and neighbors are booking with me. I am going to take some time this morning to blow up your feed sharing some truly incredible experiences I have had the pleasure of planning. Being able to do this on a daily basis because clients like you are supporting a small business instead of booking with Expedia means the world to me.

Before I share the trips I have been planning, often when people are planning trips they are afraid to contact a travel agent because they are sure we are going to cost more than booking through Expedia. A few things to note about using Making Memories Travel:

*That price you get on Expedia... I can match it and usually beat it.

*Not only will I match the price, but you aren't going to do any of the planning, I take care of all the details. My clients leave for their trip with a fully customized itinerary that they access through an app (and offline when you have no cell service) with everything they could possibly need for their vacation.

*Those places you didn't think you could afford to go, you would be amazed at what I can do with a budget.

*When you want to pass out when you see flight prices this summer and think you can't make your trip happen, call me. I know a lot of tricks to reduce your airfare. Just ask the people heading to Greece who found flights for $2000 a person and are now flying for $950/person (and no, they aren't flying Frontier 😀)

*My vendors usually offer small deposits and the opportunity to pay off your trip 30-45 days before travel.

*Everyone HATES having to book flights because you have to pay for them upfront, even when you book packages with most places. Most of my vendors allow me to bundle air into packages with only a deposit of $200-400/trip. When you are booking airfare for a family of 5 at 9+ months prior to travel to get the best rates and have the option not to put out that money upfront, do it!

*I watch the prices of your trip and sales and automatically get your price adjusted if it drops or offer you upgrades for the same price if they become available. I don't even bother you, you get an email with me saying "I saved you $1000 on your trip!".

*Even though I have been doing this for only a few years, I have done my research. I have a host agency with over 6000 agents and I am consistently in the top 100 producers. Not only that, I am teaching agents who have been doing this for years about resorts they didn't know existed and so much more.

*People come to me after they visited AAA, waited 3 weeks for a quote on a trip, and when they finally got it they were provided with a printout of a quote that I can do in 30 seconds and given one option with a "take it or leave it" attitude. I work on commission (paid by resorts... not clients), so I take the time to listen to what you are looking for, do the research to give you a variety of options that fit your requests, and don't give you a printout of a quote, I give you a detailed proposal with information about the resorts, pros and cons of each option, how you can save money, and I will sit and go over everything with you at your convenience.
