This year we are trying a bit of something new. Instead of the Word Search we are offering Coupons to participating merchants. These sheets will be available at participating merchant locations and also contains a list of all the happenings going on during Home for the Holidays. In addition, there is a coupon for one free Kid's Craft that may be redeemed at certain merchant locations.

Come out and see the Home for the Holidays Parade and usher in the holiday season and Santa into town on Saturday, Nov. 16th at noon. The parade will start at The United Methodist Church and end at the Rescue Hose and Ladder Fire House where the kids can have a chance to see Santa. Parents bring your camera and get a picture of your little ones with the jolly old elf.

Knights of Columbus Wine Walk Tickets are now on sale at participating merchants, by contacting Knight members or St. Timothy's Church office. The wine walk will take place Friday, Nov. 15th from 5 to 8 pm. Tickets are $20 pre-purchased or $25 at the door.

It's that time of year again. Time to get ready for the Home for the Holidays Event. And again this year we are asking for the community's participation. Please read the attached letter and let us know if you are interested. Thank you.

Last day of Home for the Holidays 2023.
* Search for the ornaments hidden in Merchants businesses bearing a Christmas word to be entered in a drawing for Merchant Gift Certificates.
* Let the little ones gather pieces to make a cute snowman countdown to Christmas.
* Kids 12 and under can try to beat the high score in Super Mario until 12 pm then the teens (13-18) will have their chance to be the top winner at Mortal Kombat starting at 1 pm.
* Join us along state street at noon for our 2023 Home for the Holidays Parade.
*After the parade, head up to Ridgeview for a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus and enjoy some hot cocoa and cookies.

A reminder for anyone wanting to do the kids craft.

The collection bag and instructions with the list of participating merchants where you collect the pieces for the craft are located at The Stuff Store. The kids can grab one and collect their craft pieces at the same time as you look for the ornaments for the word search.

This year the Curwensville Merchants Association is trying something new for the kids. A video game contest will be held for kids 18 and under. There will be 2 divisions: 12 and under and 13 to 18.

The 12 and under children can enter the competition by visiting The Stuff Store anytime Thursday, November 9th 9 to 5; Friday, November 10th 9 to 5; or Saturday, November 11th 9 to noon with a parent or guardian. Each child will take the best score out of 3 tries on Super Mario Brothers. The child with the highest score at 1pm on November 11th will be the winner of the division.

For the 13 to 18 year olds, any teen interested in participating in the contest should meet at The Stuff Store by 1pm on Saturday, November 11th. Contestants will compete in Mortal Kombat. The style of tournament will be decided the day of once the number of participants is known.

The top winner in each division of the Curwensville Merchants sponsored video game contest will be awarded a cash prize.

Just a little over a week until the 2023 Home for the Holidays Event begins. Pictured here are the front and back sides of this year's Information sheet. As we have only a limited number of copies in our stores, I would encourage you to print one out if you can.

Because of the success of last year's Kids Craft, we have decided to bring it back this year. So while you are out searching for our Word Search Ornaments, have the kids pick up the pieces for this cute Countdown to Christmas Snowman to take home and make.

Once again we will be conducting our Word Search during our Home for the Holidays event. Visit participating Merchants and find the Ornament located somewhere in their business. Write down the word on that ornament under the name of that merchant on our Home for the Holidays Information Flyer. Once completed, drop off the flyer at Curwensville Florist by the end of business on Monday, Nov. 13th in order to be entered for a chance at a Curwensville Merchants Gift Certificate. And don't forget to fill out the contact information portion of the flyer so we can contact you if you win. Good luck.

The Home for the Holidays Parade will be taking place Saturday, November 11th at 12 pm. We've been working hard to grow the parade and hope that both participants and spectators enjoy our efforts.
