We have enjoyed our winter break. We stayed in a few rentals as we traveled around Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming. It reminded us of how important it is to anticipate the needs of our guests. Our little slice of heaven in the Black Hills will have a few more amenities to improve the quality of your stay. We know how frustrating it can be to need oil, spices, coffee, sweeteners, and creamer, especially the 1st evening/morning. If we ever fall short, please let us know. We want your stay to be memorable in a positive way.

Today, the United States Navy celebrates its 249th birthday. I'm so glad I got to see so much of the world married to a Navy pilot.

The mountain pine beetle has a huge destructive impact in the Black Hills, so the town of Custer started the annual Beetle Burn. People take their old Christmas trees, a Beetle is constructed, and torches are sold as a fundraiser.
