Forgot to post the snow from this past week. Had snow the 29th and 30th. It was lovely and gave some much needed moisture.

Took the Ranger out into the forest. Rode some nice trails and had a great time. Cooper got to run around and get her sniffs in. Today we had a nice buck come in for a visit.

We spent the day in the Black Hills National Forest. It was a great day of traveling new to us trails. We enjoyed Cicero Peak. We highly recommend bringing or renting UTVs and download the Avenza app.

The mountain pine beetle has a huge destructive impact in the Black Hills, so the town of Custer started the annual Beetle Burn. People take their old Christmas trees, a Beetle is constructed, and torches are sold as a fundraiser.

When visiting Bison Pines, we highly recommend bringing or renting UTVs and getting out on the trails. We rode for hours yesterday and saw so many beautiful sites. https://www.sdpb.org/blogs/dakota-life/black-hills-offtrail-the-other-flumes/
