Gather your favorite snacks, a cozy blanket, and head to one of our picturesque local parks for a day of outdoor fun. Our suggestion is to head to Flat Run Veterans Park. There are Walking Trails, a new splash pad facility, disc golf and more.Many of our restaurants also offer delicious takeout options.

After 12 years and 177 episodes, The Walking Dead tv series is coming to an end. 🧟
Did you know that the original creator and artist from the Walking Dead are both from Cynthiana? In fact, in the original comic, Rick wakes up in Harrison Memorial Hospital, located here. Some of the street scenes are still the same as the comic. You can pick up a copy of our Walking Dead map at our tourism office to visit the Worlds Largest Walking Dead mural and visit some of the other locations from the comic (which the tv show was based on).
Summer is FINALLY here! Cynthiana/Harrison County is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy those dog days of summer.
The scenic Licking River winds through our downtown district and out into the gorgeous backroads of the county. Grab a float, kayak or boat and spend the day on the river!🚣♀️ You can pick up a brochure and map of the river with distances between dams and paddle times in front of our tourism office at 141 East Pike Street. With our strawberry festival coming up this weekend, we wanted to take the time to answer some questions!🍓
📆When is the festival?
~This upcoming Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 25th and Sunday, May 26th.
⏰What are the hours?
~The festival will run from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, and from 12pm to 4pm Sunday. Our store will remain open until 6pm both days.
🦮Can I bring my dog?
~Unfortunately no, dogs are not permitted on the farm unless they are a registered service animal!
🎟️How much is admission?
~Admission is CASH ONLY and is $5 per person and will be charged at the gate. This includes access to our vendor market, playground, hayride, and U-pick strawberry field.
🛍️What vendors will be there?
~We will be hosting over 100 vendors! There will be food and drink trucks, clothing boutiques, permanent jewelry, art and craft vendors, freeze dried candies, and SO MUCH MORE!!!
✨What activities can we enjoy?
~Pick your own strawberries, the playground, live music from different local musicians, a petting zoo, HUGE vendor market, and a variety of food options!
♿️Is the festival handicap accessible?
~Our main parking lot will be reserved for handicap parking ONLY, but most of our farm is grassy terrain so come prepared to walk!
🧺What should I bring with me?
~Seating will be limited. We encourage bringing a blanket and having a picnic while enjoying live entertainment and munching from various food vendors.
🍓Will strawberries be available?
~Upick strawberries will be first come first serve. We will have plenty of berries in our market!

The new Cynthiana Splash Pad will open this Friday, May 24th here in Cynthiana! One of the largest stand alone splash pads in Kentucky, it is also free to the community thanks to the City of Cynthiana and Harrison County Fiscal Court. The Splash Pad will be open 7 days a week, from 10am-8pm through the summer. It is located at Flat Run Veterans Park in Cynthiana. It is also situated near a playground, pavilion, fully stocked concession stand, playground, sand volleyball courts, disc golf court and walking trail. Cynthiana is the place to be this summer!

It's Derby Week here in Kentucky! Visit Cynthiana to check out this one of a kind mural of the 2020 Kentucky Derby winner, Authentic. Authentic was born at Hurricane Place here in Harrison County. This mural, located at 109 South Walnut Street, was completed by mural artist, Wylie Caudill Art and is one of the thirty six murals in downtown Cynthiana.
These temperatures have us planning for summer and the Cynthiana Home & Garden Show is the perfect way kick off the season. Vendors, food and more!

Looking for a fun event for the whole family? Visit Cynthiana for the Cynthiana Airport Wings and Wheels event on April 27th! Come out to see airplanes, helicopters and classic cars on display, enjoy music from Let's Cruise Entertainment, and a performance by the Harrison County Boot Stompers Line Dance Team.
