I noticed there was something missing in all the news that came out about Disneyland Resort’s 70th Anniversary Celebration & other 2025 happenings.

There was no news about the Magic Happens parade returning.

The floats in this parade are stunning and so different from the parade at Disney World! With characters like Moana & Maui, Merlin & Arthur from The Sword in the Stone, and Miguel from Coco, it’s a beloved experience.

I’m looking forward to the amazing things they’ve announced for the 70th celebration, but I hope they bring Magic Happens back after it ends.

Disney unloaded a whole bunch of news on Disneyland Resort’s 70th Anniversary Celebration and other entertainment and events coming in 2025! I’ve compiled all the details here for you!

Beginning May 16, 2025, and running through summer 2026, Disneyland will be celebrating the 70th anniversary of Disneyland Resort!!

And to kick off the celebrating, Disneyland just dropped a NEW 2025 promo! Book your Disneyland vacation now & save up to 30% on select stays of 4 or more nights at a Disneyland Resort hotel—from May 16 through September 26, 2025.

Also, there will be SO much new coming to Disneyland that makes 2025 a great year to visit:

When you stay at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside, expect to be whisked away to rural Louisiana. You’ll be immersed in the southern charms of whimsical plantation mansions in the Magnolia Bend section, and experience the wilderness of the tranquil bayou over in the Alligator Bayou section.

If you have a princess-loving little girl in your family, add a sprinkle of pixie dust by opting for a Royal Guest Room at Port Orleans Riverside.

Port Orleans Riverside and Port Orleans French Quarter are sister resorts located just a short 10 minute walk from each other. They also share amenities, so if you’re staying at Riverside you’re also welcome to enjoy the pool, dining, and more at French Quarter.

🚨The Muppets are taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster to make way for Monsters, Inc🚨

Guests should get ready to open the door because Mike and Sulley are coming to town!

That’s right, humans will be able to enter the world of Monsters, Inc. when it is added to the south side of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Building off the exciting announcements from last summer’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, the new land will include the coaster we’ve all dreamed of – a suspended ride recreating the door vault scene – plus dining and shopping and a whole new theater show.

To make way for the monsters, Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and more of their friends will be moving right along to Sunset Boulevard! But there’s more to the story: The Muppets will be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, teaming up with some of music’s biggest stars for a rockin’ music festival!

Beginning Friday, Nov. 22, 2024, Walt Disney World will expand the Lightning Lane Premier Pass pilot to all Disney Resort hotels!

Guests staying at Disney Deluxe and Deluxe Villa, Moderate, Value Resorts and other select hotels will be eligible to purchase up to seven days before the first day of their Resort stay – for their entire length of stay (up to 14 days).

Are you team cheeseburger spring roll or pepperoni spring roll?

I’m all about those cheeseburger spring rolls and that sauce!

Spring rolls in Magic Kingdom are a bit of a cult classic. You can’t search for this cart in the app, and it doesn’t come up under dining. You just have to know! You can zoom in and see it on the map, but with the long lines at this cart they definitely don’t need to advertise.

You’ll find this delicious snack at the entrance to Adventureland in Magic Kingdom. They occasionally switch up the flavors as well so look for unique variations.

The Merry Menagerie has returned to Disney’s Animal Kingdom this holiday season bringing festive cheer to the park!

You’ll find this troupe of arctic animal puppets, including an arctic fox, reindeer, penguins and polar bears, at Discovery Island roaming between Island Mercantile and Discovery Trading Company. There are two sets of animals so you never know which you might see at any given time.

These artisan-crafted puppets are lovely in all white with accents of light blue, purple, and gold hues. Most of the animals require the talents of just one puppeteer, but some of the larger animals need multiple. The musicians that follow the puppets add to the charm and atmosphere by playing cheerful holiday music.

At the time of this posting, you’ll find this show happening periodically between 9:45am and 5pm at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park.

The rustic Christmas vibes at Wilderness Lodge have me swooning. Pictures can’t do the beauty of this Walt Disney World Resort hotel justice.

Wilderness Lodge is one of my favorite experiences. After a long day spent with the crowds in the park, this resort hotel feels like a serene retreat offering respite from the hustle and bustle.

As Snow White fans, Sadie and I love the whimsical Story Book Dining at Artist Point which is located inside Wilderness Lodge. One of my all-time favorite character dining experiences.

Last, but not least, Geyser Point Bar & Grill at Wilderness Lodge offers tasty eats at reasonable prices, and a beautiful view of Bay Lake. Another favorite dining experience.

The only downside is the bus service transportation to all of the Disney World theme parks from this resort hotel. Although, there’s also the option to take a boat ride to Magic Kingdom. I’m always pleasantly surprised how convenient and relaxing the boat rides are.

This underrated Walt Disney World Resort hotel is definitely one you should consider for your next trip!

Universal Epic Universe, the fourth amazing theme park at Universal Orlando Resort, officially opens May 22, 2025. On October 22, select multi-day tickets and packages will go on sale. Additional ticket products will be available at a later date. Reservations for the new Universal Helios Grand Hotel will be available on October 22, 2024.
