Universal Orlando is wonderful! I am a Disney girl, through and through, but I adore my trips to Universal too.

Some of my favorite reasons for staying at a Universal Premier resort are: 1) You are literally within easy walking distance to both Universal parks & Citywalk AND 2) You get the unlimited Express Pass for free.

At Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, the standard rooms sleep 4 people. However, this is a Deluxe Room which accommodates 6!

This Deluxe Room has 2 queen beds, 1 queen sleeper, and 1 full bathroom, plus 1 balcony and an extra half a balcony.

This room is like one big circle, so much space and I love it!

Swan Hotel & Dolphin Hotel are sister resorts located in the EPCOT area of Walt Disney World Resort.

Collectively, they’re affectionately known as Swan & Dolphin, but each one has its own personality. Swan Hotel is smaller and quieter, while Dolphin is larger and has a bustling, swanky vibe.

While these resorts are not Disney-owned and operated, you’ll enjoy some of the same perks as a Disney hotel, such as Early Entry, extended evening hours, and transportation to the parks.

These hotels are considered Deluxe Resorts and for good reason! Along with upscale accommodations, these resorts offer 5 signature dining restaurants, 4 casual dining, and 4 quick service. You’ll also find the expansive pool area has something for everyone with 6 unique pools. The grotto pool has beautiful cascading waterfalls nestled in a tropical environment, complete with water slide.

If you’re looking for family friendly fun, you’ll also enjoy watercraft rentals, sports and games such as sand volleyball, basketball, and ping pong, s’mores by the campfire, and movies under the stars.

My favorite part of staying at Swan & Dolphin is being so close to Hollywood Studios and EPCOT! The price is also quite reasonable when you consider the hotel category and proximity to the parks.

While these are excellent options for your next Walt Disney World Resort stay, there are some differences between staying here and staying at a Disney-owned hotel. Some examples are no Mobile Order quick service options, MagicBands won’t open the door, and there are daily resort fees and parking fees.

🌸💐Disney has announced the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival will bloom once again at Walt Disney World from March 5 to June 2, 2025!

The EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival is a time when the park is transformed with beautiful topiaries of your favorite Disney characters, luscious gardens, and delicious menus full of fresh eats. Additional details about merchandise, menus and more will sprout up soon!

🎉2025 is extra special as Flower & Garden will be celebrating 30 years!

🎸Rock Out with Garden Rocks🎵

Along with the festival, the Garden Rocks Concert Series will make its annual return to the America Gardens Theatre. We’ve harvested the first crop of performer announcements to share today:

I noticed there was something missing in all the news that came out about Disneyland Resort’s 70th Anniversary Celebration & other 2025 happenings.

There was no news about the Magic Happens parade returning.

The floats in this parade are stunning and so different from the parade at Disney World! With characters like Moana & Maui, Merlin & Arthur from The Sword in the Stone, and Miguel from Coco, it’s a beloved experience.

I’m looking forward to the amazing things they’ve announced for the 70th celebration, but I hope they bring Magic Happens back after it ends.

Universal Epic Universe, the fourth amazing theme park at Universal Orlando Resort, officially opens May 22, 2025. On October 22, select multi-day tickets and packages will go on sale. Additional ticket products will be available at a later date. Reservations for the new Universal Helios Grand Hotel will be available on October 22, 2024.
