This POG juice slushy and mummy cupcake (spiced vanilla cupcake filled with apple compote and topped with chocolate mousse) made the trek to Animal Kingdom Lodge so worth it. Plus getting to see animals. Worth it!

This week's Review It Sunday we are talking about the Disney Dream! The first of Disney's larger ships. The beautiful Disney Dream will soon be returning to Fort Lauderdale on 3, 4 & 5 night cruises (that I think the Disney Destiny will take over for but that is just my guess). Including stops at Disney's Castaway Cay and their new destination Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. Currently she is some European cruising before heading home this fall (that the Fantasy (her sister ship) will be doing next fall when the Treasure takes over the Fantasy's routes).

The 3rd part of my trip has arrived. This morning we are disembarking the lovely Disney Magic! We have had an amazing, relaxing and fun time onboard and spending time at Disney's Castaway Cay, Nassau Bahamas and Disney new destination Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. But it's time for my husband to fly home. Then I am headed back to Walt Disney World for a few days celebrating my 50th birthday with one of my best friends. We're spending a few days at Disney's Yacht Club. Enjoying Stormalong Bay pool area, the food of all the Boardwalk resorts along with a few others. Plus we will be taking on the 4 park challenge...I guess I only do these at the end of August when the heat and humidity throw in a whole other level of challenge. Then we will be moving over to the Contemporary Resort and staying on the club level in an Edna Mode themed room. There are only 2 of these with King Beds at the Contemporary. There are a few more that have 2 queen sized beds in them. I can't wait to see what view we get. One room has the lake view and one has a theme park view. Regardless we will be able to see the fireworks from the Club lounge to get a very unique view.

On this Resort Stay Saturday we are taking a look at the Caribbean Beach Resort. At more than 200 acres, Disney's Caribbean Beach resort is the largest resort on Disney property. Its rooms are divided into five brightly colored villages representing different areas of the Caribbean; Trinidad, Martinique, Barbados, Aruba, and Jamaica. The resort's 45-acre lake is 1.4 miles around and makes for a great walking/jogging track. In the middle of the lake, connected by bridge, is Caribbean Cay island which has a number of secluded spots to sit and relax, as well as a children's play area. This moderate resort, gives you large scale beauty and modern conveniences like the Skyliner transportation system. Most rooms have two Queen beds and some rooms have a pull-down Murphy bed to accommodate a fifth guest. Due to the expansive size of this resort an internal shuttle bus is available to get around. When staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort you will definitely feel like you are staying at a destination within a destination.

Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point did not disappoint today! Our whole table at dinner was talking about the beauty of the island and how enjoyable of a day it was. There was SO much to do and see there that I think we barely scrachted the surface.
Was it different than Castaway Cay... Absolutely. But why would anyone want it to be the same?
Was it large and spread out... Also Yes. There was tons of room. Lots of beach chairs and umbrellas. Lots of space to sit and eat or drink.
Was the Pier long... Yep but we were ready for that. But no longer than walking from one side of the theme parks to the other. If that's too much, there is a shuttle that you can sign up for at Guest Relations for those that need it.
The water was so clear. The beach just beautiful.
Will we be back? Absolutely. I'm just waiting for the Destiny to release its schedule next month.

This week's Package Wednesday family is on their 1st Disney vacation and at the place where it all started, Disneyland. I am so excited for them to experience the magic of Disney. They are staying at the newly reopened Pixar Place with all of it's fabulous theming. Enjoying early entry at both of the theme parks.

It's Castaway Cay Day for us onboard the Disney Magic!!!
I love this gorgeous private island! We have absolutely nothing planned for the day other than sitting on the beach, soaking up with sun with some cold beverages.
