Roameo is building a rapidly growing organization dedicated to removing the barriers to outdoor travel. We believe that the convergence of transportation, hospitality, and technology will change how people connect with nature. Roameo combines upscale mobile travel suites designed for short-term stays and curated travel itineraries to provide a new form of experiential vacation. As part of this process, the RoameOEM business unit is specifically responsible for the design, production, assembly, and maintenance of Class B motorhomes based on the Ram ProMaster cargo van.
The Production Technician is the Subject Matter Expert in the fabrication, assembly, and installation of prefabricated components into cargo van camper conversions. Production Technicians initially specialize in one of the following fields, then cross-train into additional fields: sub-framing & insulation; cabinets & woodworking; electrical, plumbing, heating & ventilation; and upholstery, textiles, & finishes. The Production Technician reports to the Production Lead and is responsible for accomplishing tasks in a direct-execution capacity.
Job Duties:
Converts cargo vans to mobile suites in parallel with other Production Technicians with guidance from the Production Lead.
Assembles, Fabricates, Installs, Mounts: sub-frame surfaces; insulation; cabinetry; appliances; upholstery; electrical harnesses; plumbing routes; heaters and cooling units; windows; floors; ceiling, wall, & door panels; aesthetic features in the vehicles.
Prepares new vehicles for installation of parts and components.
Cabinetry & Panels: Assemble and install flat pack parts as full cabinets.
Electrical: Assemble, install, and repair 110VAC & 12VDC components and wiring harnesses including inverters, shore power plugs, outlets, lights, water pumps, relays, fans, batteries, etc.
Plumbing: Assemble, install, and repair plumbing system including water pump, hot water heater, faucets, drains, fittings, water tanks, and all other components.
Cross-trains (teaches and receives instruction) in other Technician specialties.
Maintain tools, equipment, and materials.
Maintains a safe, clean, and efficient work area.
Complies with safety protocols within the workspace environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Ability to work independently on multiple projects.
Ask detailed questions before making assumptions.
Read and understand production documentation: drawings, installation instructions, etc.
Ability to overcome production obstacles while ensuring timely delivery of vehicles.
Disseminates information up and down the chain of command to clarify and streamline production objectives.
Identifies and reports production setbacks to the Production Lead.
Qualifications:

(Minimum) High School Diploma or equivalent, (Preferred) Trade School or higher Graduate or demonstrable experience in lieu of education.
Familiarity with processes in one or more of the following areas: construction, woodworking, fabrication, upholstery, machine operation, plumbing, or electrical systems.
Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and machinery for assembly and installation of woodwork products safely and efficiently.
Familiarity with Automotive/RV/Marine systems.
Possess a valid driver’s license.
Working Conditions
This position operates in a shop environment, where temperatures are regulated in the winter and fluctuate in the summer months. It requires the ability to safely use hand tools and work in tight spaces such as in and under vans and components. Employees work closely in a team setting and have the desire to actively participate in physically demanding work. Physical tasks include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., standing for long periods of time, squatting, kneeling and bending to install components.
Position Type, Hours and Benefits
