Seeing this post is a little sign that YOU CAN DO IT. It’s going to be scary and hard sometimes, but you are capable of doing hard things and it’s going to be worth it. Release the perfectionism and know that your best is AMAZING and that YOU are AMAZING. Courage, faith, love and a positive attitude can get you through anything.

Meet your hosts!!

We are Michael and Sydney, your hosts at The Red Hideaway! We have been married for 17 years 🤯😍🥳 and have 3 amazing boys!

Michael crafted an impressive career at Dreamworks, Disney and Netflix and is now pursuing his own entrepreneurial adventures (which we kicked off with this Airbnb ♥️)! Sydney is a stay-at-home homeschooling mama.

A few things we LOVE:

♥ Family vacations → Alaskan cruises, Disney parks, Glacier National Park, and of course, Dahlonega, GA! 🧳
♥ Movies 🎥 → we love so many, but one of our forever favorites is Jurassic Park 🦖
♥ Reading 📖 → business & self-mastery for Michael. Young adult fiction & love stories for Sydney
♥ Eating 🍔🌮🧁😋 → As my grandma said, “No one ever invented anything as fun as eating”

Who doesn’t love a good Before and After?!

The Red Hideaway was only equipped with one bathroom 🚽 when we got our hands on it! That wasn’t going to cut it with four beautiful bedrooms being set up!

With the help of a lot of awesome people we were able to transform the laundry room into a brand new double vanity + standing shower bathroom. I just love a double vanity 🤩. I mean, who doesn’t love the opportunity to put your makeup💄 on beside your sister or bestie?

And check out the amenities provided 🥳

✓ Fluffy bath towels
✓ Hand soap (no weird hotel soap bars… does that bother anyone else? Just me…?)

The Highland Cow Room

This relaxing master bedroom boasts a luxurious king bed, the cutest olive green night stands and a big screen tv, if watching tv in bed is how you roll! It’s like a hotel without screaming people running down the hall… okay, that might still happen during your stay, but at least those screamers will belong to you 🤪. And we can’t get over the highland cow’s cuteness 🥹. Plenty of room to unpack in your choice of dresser or closet, a little workspace in the corner if work is calling and P.S: the hot tub is waiting for you right outside the french doors 🤩!

The Goat Room

This room was probably our biggest “transformation”! My incredible sister Brittney helped me plan, shop for and decorate each and every room at The Red Hideaway 🥹🥹. Quite literally couldn’t have done it without her. Among the darling decor is a cute baby goat portrait 🐐 and the beloved MEH sign that we couldn’t stop giggling over.

Share your favorite fireside meal with us!! We’ve had quite a few guests enjoy pizza by the Red Hideaway firepit! Our favorite is FOIL PACKS! Instructions: Large piece of foil 1/4 ground beef shaped into a patty Handful of peeled/cubed potatoes Handful of carrots 1/3 can of cream of mushroom 1/2 pouch Lipton onion soup mix Wrap foil securely (think meet the two long sides and roll down, then roll up the ends) Hot coals: rotate/flip every 5-10, check veggies for tenderness and meat for doneness around 30 minutes! OR Oven: bake at 350 for about an hour!
