Daytrip recommendation - Wildcatter ranch is 1.5 hrs from FTW. There's a rustic steakhouse, bar, hotel and cottages all built on top of a butte overlooking 1000s AC w 360 views!! Place is a really interesting stop. We did a Rodney Crowell concert & sleepover. I had frequented hill country, Canyon Lake, rivers, whitewater amp, Gruene, Floores, Cheatum St; Luckenbach but hadn't been out west.
