During my FAM trip in May 2024, I got to participate in a site inspection at Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres and wanted to share some fun facts, opinions, and things that I noticed during my short time there. Please note that I did not stay here so I cannot comment on things such as food/drink quality, entertainment quality, comfortability of room, or service.
·Opened February 1, 2024, so the resort is still pretty new and still trying to get on its feet.
·Has a total of 507 suites and is a luxury oceanfront resort localed along the Costa Mujeres shoreline.
·I LOVED the plants and luscious green areas all around the resort. Give this place 6 months to a year more and these plants will look as beautiful as the greenery at Secrets Akumal. Definitely gives off some jungle vibes.
·Swim out room pool are NOT private and people can see as they’re walking by. Once the plants grow a little bit, there should be more of a barrier.
·We toured the Presidential Suite and was amazed at how gorgeous it was! It is extremely spacious with a HUGE wrap around porch and includes an outdoor tub, a large living area, and a humungous bathroom with standalone bathtub. Each room has handmade local art in each suite.
·We also toured the Preferred Club Junior Suite Ocean View room and was blown away by how beautiful, modern, and comfortable it looked! As it is preferred club, there was also an outdoor tub on the balcony

Ive pushed myself harder than I ever have before. I’ve learned to celebrate even the smallest of accomplishments. I’ve learned to stop comparing my business progress to others. The 1st time you navigate disembarkation day, it can feel a little overwhelming... if you’re doing it alone that is! With me by your side you will have all the tips and tricks you need! ✅Check your safe before leaving:Remember to retrieve your passport and wallet from the safe beforehand or you will have to go back to your cabin before being allowed to leave the ship. ✅Check your outstanding balance:A summary of expenses incurred during a voyage will be delivered to your cabin the evening before disembarkation. To avoid lengthy queues and disputes over incorrect charges on the day of disembarkation, it is important to address any issues with the summary beforehand. ✅Book afternoon flights homeBooking early morning flights for the journey back home after a cruise is strongly discouraged. Disembarking and going through customs takes time, and there may be congested traffic and long security lines at the airport. To avoid stress, it is best to book flights in the afternoon. ✅Remember to set aside clothes in the morningAt the end of your cruise, you will need to pack your larger bags and leave them in the hallway for the crew to collect and transfer to the pier, so don’t forget to have an extra pair of clothes the night before you disembark. ✅Search your cabin thoroughly:It can be challenging to retrieve any belongings that are forgotten after disembarking from the ship. To avoid this, it is recommended that you thoroughly inspect all areas, including closets, drawers, and even under the bed, to ensure that you have packed everything before leaving. Immediately put your phone on airplane mode: To avoid those outrageous international fees from your phone company, immediately put your phone on airplane mode and connect to the WIFI. 2. Pack a carry-on bag separate from your main luggage: You will give your large suitcase to a member of the cruise staff to bring to your room, but you will not have access to your suitcase immediately after boarding the ship. I recommend packing 1-2 extra outfits, mini toiletries, bathing suits, sunscreen, any required hygienic items/medicines, and any other important items in your carry-on baggage in case of lost luggage. It is beneficial to consider using a tracking device (like Apple Air Tags) to place in your luggage just in case. 3. Be sure that you have downloaded and checked-in on your cruise line’s app at least 3 days BEFORE embarkation!This will make for a quick and seamless embarkation process. Less time standing in line, and more time on vacation! You may also use the cruise line’s app to make reservations for shore excursions, the spa, and specialty dining restaurants, keep track of onboard spending, order room service, and much more! 4. Complete your muster drill ASAP: The muster drill is a required safety briefing that all passengers must complete before the ship is allowed to begin cruising. Grab a drink, watch the safety video, and then report to your assigned station with your travel party as soon as possible. Feel free to explore and familiarize yourself with the ship during this process. 5. Make copies of your passport and license prior to embarkation day: Keep one copy in your purse and one in your safe in case of a missing passport.
