Let's diverge from my usual content for this wanderlust Wednesday and talk books! I love to read, and find it is the next best way to travel, when in between trips!
I am currently reading The Book of Doors and LOVING It! so far! It is about a magical book, that allows its owner to turn any door into every door! I am only a third of the way in, and we have already visited, NYC, Paris, Venice, and Scotland.

Can you imagine being able to step through a doorway anywhere in the world? Where would you go?

Do you have a favorite book about another destination or one that inspired you to want to visit a certain country? I would love to hear it!
If you like a little sci fi in your reading, this one is a page turner!

What a fabulous review from my clients who just returned from a trip to London, Ireland, and Paris! The trip planning started with seeing the Dave Matthews Band in these cities and turned into a grand adventure!

What a trip! It was a fairytale adventure for me.

The non stop flights and red eye were key. For us, the airport transfers were worth every dime. So much less stress for us. Queens Gate Hotel was lovely. Rooms are extremely small but I hear that’s the norm for London. The location was perfect. The tube was close and easy to navigate once you understand their system.

Highlight of London was our private guided tour. David was so knowledgeable, kind, funny and we saw all the key landmarks that we were interested in seeing. A private city tour is a much for us from now on. It gave us the history of the land and also the culture. We walked for 10 miles that day and it didn’t seem too much. Changing of the guard is a must see. The tour guides inout on best place to see this was priceless. Kensington Palace was too crowded to view but we knew that the side street was best from our guide. Royal Albert Hall concert . . Incredible! Stone Henge is a great day trip if you have the time. Very basic, not too commercialized.

Shannon airport very small and quaint. Dromoland is THE BEST place and service we have ever been. 100% worth every dime. I would have paid more. It’s personal, the staff call you by name, trip over themselves to greet you and tend to every want. Turndown service was icing on the cake. Their fine dining was a bit much (many courses and long) but one must try it. Grounds are gorgeous. You can tell the staff take great pride in their work. Dermot in the dining was my favorite all time person in Ireland. He made me feel special at every encounter, like I was his only patron. And he did this for everyone who he met. A++++. Cliffs of Moher a MUST! Only need an hour or so there to appreciate the beauty. The Marker Hotel in Dublin is excellent, contemporary and definitely a city vibe.

Now onto Paris. I did not think this would be my favorite city of the tour, but I fell I love with Paris. The vibe, the people, the culture, the history. Hôtel Napoleon was great, they upgraded us to a suite. Perfect location. Again, the historic tour of Paris was by far our favorite part. The history of Paris awed us. The churches, museums, historical sites . . I could have stayed longer. Again, private transfer to and from hotel was priceless. Professional and prompt.

We are already looking for another vacation to plan.

I had a conversation with a client yesterday, she was telling me about a trip they want to take, but said they were not exactly sure where to go, what to see, etc. I asked them the important questions such as dates, budget, and their interests, and said I would build them an itinerary and send it over to them to take a look at as a starting point.
She said "It's as easy as that? I don't have to spend hours researching?" And I said Yes, it's as easy as that! You will probably only plan one trip in your lifetime to Scotland, I have planned 4 just in the last few months! I have you covered!

Some of the destinations my clients are visiting this year are Greece, Scotland, London, Paris, Italy, Disney Cruises, River Cruises through Europe, Tahiti, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, St Lucia, and of course Disney World!
