Are you planning to travel to the UK (England or Scotland or Northern Ireland) in the next year? There is a new requirement to purchase a new Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) required to enter the UK which started this month. It currently costs 10 GSP ($12.73 USD) but the UK is already working to increase the cost from 10 GSP to 'more than that'...I suggest applying now to just get it done with...it will be effective for 2 years after you purchase it. (if you want to wait until closer to your travel date, you can...pricing certainly won't go up TOO much but we don't know)

I used the official UK ETA app (search for it in your App Store) and it took less than 5 minutes to finish for one person. If you see other apps, there may be extra processing fees so I would suggest using this official app.

You learn something new every day! I just learned that the calculator for iPhone (don’t know about others) has a currency converter built into it. 😳
Just push the little calculator symbol in the lower left hand corner, then toggle the “Convert” function on. It will let you select the currencies you want to use. Then you can enter the amount you want converted. Voila!!! (one less app to use...but if you want a devoted currency app, I love Currency Converter App.
