This group of wonderful people was at The George Farmhous this weekend, total of 31.
They are the descendants of Reid and Ola George, my daddy's brother. They had four children and all was there except Betty, who was not well enough to come, and Charles, who is deceased.
We had a wonderful time. Old memories came flooding back with a new generations. When I left last night my heart was full. Thanks to Amanda Rurak for doing this and all the work she put in making it come together.
Can't wait until next year. We going to do it again.

This was the best weekend I have in quite some time.

The reason we list our zip code as 27016 is so patrons know we ARE at Hanging Rock State Park as opposed to Surry County because no one recognizes us as Stokes County. So NO..we are not in WESTFIELD. WE are indeed at Hanging Rock State Park. Thanks.

This weekend September 12 and 13 is the Stokes Stomp in Danbury. Come and stay at the George Farmhouse house and enjoy the two days of the stomp. Lots of stuff to enjoy. Music, food, craft, and venders with some fascinating things. Come and enjoy time one the Dan River at the Stokes Stomp.
