What does it mean when you’re 60 days away from your arrival date to Disney?!

That means your dining reservation and magical extras window opens!

Do you really need to make reservations 60 days before you even get to Disney?

Technically, no.

But if you’re hoping to eat at the popular restaurants such as Chef Mickey’s, Ohana, Boma, Cinderella’s Royal Table, Space 220, Woody’s Roundup Rodeo, etc., then YES. You would be surprised about how quickly things book up, especially during busy season times.

Does this mean you’re going to miss out on food if you don’t make reservations?

No, but you might be disappointed in the availability of times or restaurants when you get there.

January has been off to a very busy start!

We have families going to the Polynesian Resort, Art of Animation, All Star Sports, Port Orleans, Animal Kingdom, All Star Movies, All Star Music, Pop Century, Caribbean Beach Resort, and that’s not including families heading out on The Wish and Disney Dream to the Bahamas! 🤩

Make sure to get those REAL IDs or have a passport before May! You have to have one or the other when flying domestically starting May 7!

Disney is always busy, but based on all of our trips, I would say this is pretty accurate!

People tend to think summer is extra busy because school is out, but it’s really not that bad, even on Fourth of July!

If you really want to avoid crowds, you’re going to want to try and stay away from Spring Break, Thanksgiving week, and Christmas Break.

High demand in people also means higher prices.

Just something to keep in mind when choosing what time of year you’d like to visit!

Okay, so you’ve decided you want to go to Disney, but how long should you plan for?

If you want to go to all four parks, and it’s your first time, depending on the family, I might recommend one park per day with AT LEAST one rest day. Trying to do all four parks back to back is not only exhausting for littles, but for adults too! Plus, you definitely need to plan for some pool time!

Depending on the family and what days you plan to arrive will determine what I might recommend for each day. Different parks close at different times. Different parks may or may not have a night time show. There will be parks you will definitely want to rope drop and take advantage of that early entry, and there are others, you could probably get away with and sleep in a little bit. But again, I get to know you and your family and we decide together what might be best for you. If you’ve been more than once, or want a little more flexibility, or are planning on going less than a week but still want to visit all four parks, then I might recommend park hopper tickets.
