Truth or Myth? The first step in taking your dream vacation is planning every little detail before putting down your deposit.

MYTH!

Before you can start planning your excursions, meals, theme park days, or even nighttime shows and entertainment, you have to actually book your trip. To actually book your trip, you have to know what dates, flights, and hotels will work best for you. Of course, that is where we come in!

This means the *real* first step to your dream vacation is scheduling a free consultation with one of our travel specialists. If you don't want to chat on the phone, don't worry! Email works just as well. During the consultation stage, your specialist will take notes on your wishlist, budget, travel experiences, requests, and needs.

Then, they will send over a proposal, likely with a few options for you to choose from. Everything they send you is fully customizable, within reason of course. At this stage, you are welcome to request changes or choose from one of the packages they sent you in this first proposal.

Finally, once you approve the proposal, you will send in your trip profile with basic information about everyone who is traveling with you. While you will send in your credit card at this stage, please note that nothing is paid until we send you a confirmation email.

Once you get that confirmation email, it will officially be time to plan!

Today we are highlighting what might be our agents' favorite park at Walt Disney World, Epcot! They had so many non-negotiable attractions and experiences that it was hard to pick just one. There was, however, a common theme in their best Epcot tip: use the back entrance of Epcot to access the Skyliner, other resorts, and Hollywood Studios!

Almost every cruise line offers included meals and speciality or exclusive dining for an additional price (except for Virgin Voyages, but we can save that for another post 😉). Sometimes it is extremely hard to justify the additional price for a meal, when you have so many options already included.

Let us be the first to tell you, that additional price can be SO worth it. Here's why:

🛳️The kitchens that prepare your dinner at specialty restaurants are not built for mass production. So, the quality of your foot is going to be much better than what you may get in the dining room.

Believe it or not, we travel solo A LOT for our work! It is much easier to advise and plan our clients' vacations for destinations we have actually visited, and sometimes that means we have to explore by ourselves.

That being said, we have so many thoughts to share on how to make the most out of a solo trip:

🌈 Hire Private Drivers in Advance - We cannot stress this enough. Relying on Ubers and Taxis can be scary and make you feel uneasy. When you book private transportation prior to leaving, you can do research on the provider.

🌈 Resort/Destination Atmosphere - Find a destination and/or a resort that encourages meeting new people. For example, vacations geared toward families may not structure activities for you to meet others.

🌈 Meet the Locals - Traveling alone is the perfect opportunity to get recommendations for local restaurants and activities. Plus, meeting people that live in the area you're visiting, may lead to some unexpected adventures.

🌈 Travel with the Least Amount of Luggage - It's just you! There is no need to lug around a diaper bag, purse, activity bag, extra suitcase, so don't overwork. Plus, navigating airports and public transportation is so much easier with just one suitcase.

- Disney Genie+ service will become Lightning Lane Multi-Pass,
- Individual Lightning Lane will now be known as Lightning Lane Single Pass.
- FastPass lovers rejoice...it feels very FastPasseque.
