January 4, 2025 - People ask why the Cheese Country Trail, Fayette
Trail and the Pecatonica Trail are closed since there is no snow. This is a message from Max Blackbourn, "This is why it needs to be closed. The gravel base damages very easily with partially frozen ground and precipitation cannot infiltrate into the ground like normal." Please respect our decision when we say the trails are CLOSED. Thank you for your cooperation. Remember the designated road routes are always open.
