Can I Trust Air BNB ?????

Used AIRBNB last year on 7 occasions , no issues with costing etc

In In Dec 2022 was looking to book a month stay in a home in Capetown April 2023 , contacted the agents and a day later agreed to make the booking
The agent then came back INCREASING THE PRICE BY GBP1,200.00 \ $1,612.00 !!!

After I enquired re the 33% INCREASE in the price I was given a lot of bulll with regards to the exchange rate , so I proved to the agents the exchange rate had only risen minimally and any exchange rate rise would only have a minute impact on the price

I contacted AIRBNB but all they seem interested in was getting their commission, THEY ALLOW OWNERS / AGENTS TO INCREASE PRICES between the initial enquiry and when the booking is made to !!!!
Beware this unethical practise!!!!

A few weeks back the $ GBP rate was 1.10 which if you exchanged / spent GBP4,000.00 you received $4.400.00 equivalent.

Today the rate is 1.20 so your GBP4,000.00 now gets you $4.800.00. Only a extra $400.00 but every little helps : >

I have a bigggggg grind about buying water in the theme parks in Orlando for a family of 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 it can add hundreds of $s to your trip !!!

Can you bring a water bottle to Disney Land?

While you are welcome to bring your own water bottles, water fountains and water bottle refill stations are located throughout both parks. A map of drinking fountains can be found on the Disneyland Mobile App.2

One bottled water costs $3.50 (soda costs $4), which is triple the cost of bottled water you could get from a store outside of the park. And, if you have a group of people with you, drinking water throughout the day, the price tag can REALLY add up!

What is the cost of an ordinary bottle of water at Disney at the moment !!!

Water bottles Increased to $4.29 / GBP3,86 in some locations and as much as $5.00 / GBP4.50 , at some carts and $4.69 / GB4.23

Dasani Bottled Water: was $3.50, now $3.75 / GBP3,37

Smartwater was $5.50, now $5.75 / GBP5.18 !!!!

Looking to head to Orlando for a vacation : > ) New Route on offer with Virgin.

Most people want to fly direct to Orlando but only a 70 min easy drive west of Orlando is Tampa , and now as well as BA flying there Virgin have introduced a new route to this airport. At times by travelling to Tampa the price is less than flying direct to Orlando so its worthwhile checking out the flights to Orlando and Tampa and comparing the prices : > ) As an example I have had people say its was only a small difference of GBP40.00 when comparing prices flying to Tampa but for a group of ten people thats a saving of GBP400.00 !!!!

Virgin fly direct to Tampa (TPA) from Heathrow (LHR) .They will fly to Tampa from 3 November, with daily flights from 29 November 2022. The flight time from London is approximately 9 hours 30 minutes

Since I stopped posting on my FaceBook page for my Orlando Florida rental home ( SimplyTheBest) I have been contacted daily by people asking about information in relation to a trip to Orlando / Florida USA : > ) I still have 26,900 followers of the page.

Thus I have decided to resurrect the page but under the name "Simpy Orlando"

The page will concentrate on supplying useful information / tips needed for a trip to Orlando , be it hotels , the theme parks basically anything that relates to a trip to Orlando : > ) Anyone that has any questions about a trip just IM me .

Bravo to the NHS and Its Staff : > )

Today I visited a surgery for my C Virus jab and I cannot praise enough the staff in the surgery
I visited a surgery in Tower Hamlets East London , Tower Hamlets has a very high population / percentage of Muslim / Bangladesh people and all the staff were of Asian / Bangladesh origin.
There were 25 people in front of me , maybe 20 behind me , the staff were all rushed off their feet ,however they were so kind , efficient and a credit to the National Heath Service
It brought a tear to my eye seeing all these dedicated medical professions who appeared to be all in the 20s who are on the front of combating the C Virus.

I was told the staff were administering 800 jabs a day !!!!

Having spent time in the USA I have witnessed the cost of treatment if you are taken ill when you visit a American hospital and if you do not have medical insurance , heaven help you

Yes there is waste in the NHS due to administrative mis management but I will never hear a bad word said against the medial staff I witnessed today who are on the front line helping inoculate the whole of the country against the C Virus,
