Tampa International Airport.
It is used by Virgin and British Airways from the UK.
We used it for the first time.
The Airport is a lot smaller than Orlando (MCO). It is easier to get through security and baggage claim.
There is less places to eat inside the Airport so you do need to plan when you are going to eat, especially if your flight is later.

Would we recommend using Tampa - Yes & No.

Yes for someone who has travelled to Florida before & is used to driving on the motorways there, plus if you are looking for a cheaper flight (you can get a good deal flying to Tampa).

No for families travelling for their first time. Within 5 minutes of leaving the airport you are on a main Interstate and then on the i4, this can be extremely busy during the week. It took us only 1 hour 20 minutes to get to our Villa but it was at 9pm so we were driving in the dark.

You also need to check the flight times carefully, our flight home was 10.30pm. If you have to check out your accommodation at 10am then you could have 12 hours before you take off, a very long day.

Overall we could not fault the Airport but we would just recommend you review everything before booking a flight to Tampa. If it is your first trip, first time driving in America and the main reason was to save £100 each on your flights then I would say spend the extra & go to Orlando (MCO).

Are you ready to go to Florida in 2025, we are very busy taking enquiries and securing bookings for our future guests.
Our aim is to keep our prices as low as possible to allow everyone the chance to enjoy their holiday without paying high accommodation fees, our nightly price is the same all year round.

£1890 is the cost for 14 nights in 2025 and the villa sleeps maximum of 8 people, pool heating is the only extra fee.

A question we get asked is how far is our Villa to Magic Kingdom, have a look at the attached photo. This is a direct route and no need to drive on the large busy Interstate roads or Toll roads.

One of the big advantages of staying in Oleander Villa is that you can still visit Disney Hotels and eat or shop in any of the Hotels in and around the Disney Parks.
We parked our car in Hollywood Studios but you can park in Disney Springs, then we used various Disney Transport to visit 13 Hotels in the same day before going back to our car.
There is a 21 Disney Hotel Challenge, you need to travel to 21 Hotels in the Disney World area in the same day without going back to your car. You need to take a photo of the Hotel or eat something in the Hotel. It is a tough challenge to do all the hotels.
This is great to do and even more fun when there is a special event or season happening as all the Hotels are decorated to the theme.

This our pool on March 27th 2022, it is 4pm (Florida time) & the temperature is 26 degrees.

People ask us how much sun does our West facing pool get, as you can see there is plenty of sun in the afternoon & evening. During the summer months the sun is higher & you will be able to relax by the pool for the majority of the day.

How easy is it to get to the Theme Parks?
We are just 3 miles from Junction 58 of the i4 providing a direct route to all the parks.
How many cars can park at your Villa?
We have a double driveway so you can park 2 cars.
Do you have an off peak nightly rate?
We do not, we keep our nightly price as low as possible and we offer the same price throughout the year.
Do I need a car when staying in Oleander Villa?
No you can use Uber, we recently travelled without hiring a car & Uber charges approx $20 each way to the Disney Parks.
