Out and about yesterday and stopped by Anna Maria Island.
It was a little overcast but always worth a visit.
About 1hr 45 minute drive from Lakeside-Villa.

Wild Pigs

Thought these were Wild Pigs but now advised they are 'Shoats'.
This pair were foraging on the far side of the lake early this morning .... a rare sighting for us!
I did manage to capture a little video of them (sorry the camera work gets a bit shaky towards the end).

Nice evening for a visit to the Silvermoon Drive-In Theater that is definitely worth a visit if you are in that area. About 40 mins drive to Lakeland, Florida from Lakeside Villa.

Our 'Blue Agave' Cactus in the front garden is the plant used to make Tequila. Guests please do not turn Lakeside Villa into a distillery ... at least not without sharing ;)

Our recently trimmed Jacaranda tree, in the front yard, has bloomed for the very first time. Falling blossom forms a beautiful blue carpet on the grass below.

It's 7am as a Hot Air Balloon drifts slowly over our sunny Conservation backdrop and steam rises from the lake at the beginning of another sun-filled Floridian day. A regular and entertaining sight.

I took a quick snap today of this amazing tree (Tabebuia Chrysotricha - 'Gold Tree' or, 'Gold Trumpet Tree'). Collected some seeds to try to grow one at our Lakeside Villa. :)
