We are feeling blessed to have this very special little boy staying at Aquilo House at the moment.
AJ’s family stayed with us a couple of years ago, but unfortunately AJ wasn’t able to join them due to being really poorly.
We stayed in touch, and followed AJ as he fought the toughest fight of his young life, and are so overwhelmed and thankful that he has finally got to swim in our pool.
Well done AJ, we are so proud of what you have achieved. Enjoy your well deserved vacation.

I was gutted when a guest arrived and told me that the wallpaper in our Mickey Mouse room was ripped, but so grateful he did as after trying to get the same paper unsuccessfully we decided to change it completely.
We bought the majority of what you see here with us, packed in our suitcases.
So finally, on our last day here we can show you our new Minions room.

The sun has finally made an appearance after 3 days of rain and cloud. So it’s all systems go getting Aquilo House ready for Ang & Dave’s arrival later this week.
“Suns out means guns out” - so out comes the pressure washer with the new 18’ gun so we can remove any algae from the fascia’s, let’s face it there is no way either of us are getting up ladders to reach the top bits 😊
Today it’s raining, not the usual 20 minute downpour then glorious sunshine, more like U.K. grey skies and U.K. rain, so no all outside work has been put on hold, we’ll for us anyway.
However we know know how the palm trees are trimmed, even in the rain 🙈
Boys and their toys… THE longest pressure washer extension I have ever seen 😮
Guess that’s what happens when you buy it in the USA - everything is bigger 😝
It means no more using the ladders in the pool when cleaning the pool cage.
We don’t normally get to see this as they usually come around 4am 🙈
So simple yet so cool… the Nuneaton only has 1 staff member… the driver - he stops the bin wagon, picks the wheelie bin up using an arm the comes out, lifts it up and tips the trash out.
I’d love to see him using one of those machines at the fair, you know the ones were you use the crane to pick up a prize and try to drop it down the shoot to collect it.

Today is a pool day… not just any pool day, we have scrubbed and pressure washered 21 fence panels, and now doing the pool cage and deck.
Good job is sunny 😎
Some local wildlife casually passing Aquilo House this morning.
First thunderstorm since we arrived… the poor guy carrying the child got soaked. Only thing for it was stay and have another drink.
Our last full day at Aquilo House today. We’ve tested the sp out after retiring it. Here’s a sneaky glimpse for all upcoming Aquilo-ites
Our verdict is… “just what is needed after a long day in the parks 😍
Spa tiles now complete, along with a new system were we can operate the pool heat and temperature remotely.
I tested it out last night, it is amazing, really warm, yet so refreshing and just what I needed.

Fence done yesterday, today is the turn of the pool cage. It will be completely jet washed for the first time in 2 years, as we want it to be all gleaming for our guests who have been waiting patiently to return.

I know our U.K. Aquilo-ites haven’t had the chance to stay since March 2020, and trust me, I am having withdrawal symptoms for my happy place too.
So as it’s Sunday and we all have work tomorrow I thought I’d cheer you all up on with some Aquilo-ness to keep you all 😊 till we are able to fly into Florida again. Let’s hope we can go before Boris and Horace arrive again this year 🤞🤞
Aquilo House has been feeling some what unloved recently as most of our Aquilo-ites haven’t been able to get there.
