If you know you know… today was the day we started on the pool cage, getting it all cleaned up ready for our winter guests. Next up is the pool furniture and deck. Had to stop as it’s Black Friday and those stores were calling for me to spend some money 💰💰💰🤣🤣🤣
After a couple of chilly days it’s earned up nicely and today was 78°
This only means one thing… out with the pressure washer to clean the fence.
We noticed a perfectly round hole in a palm tree, and just caught a woodpecker going in. Look like the wildlife love staying here as much as our guests 😊
We are feeling blessed to have this very special little boy staying at Aquilo House at the moment.
AJ’s family stayed with us a couple of years ago, but unfortunately AJ wasn’t able to join them due to being really poorly.
We stayed in touch, and followed AJ as he fought the toughest fight of his young life, and are so overwhelmed and thankful that he has finally got to swim in our pool.
Well done AJ, we are so proud of what you have achieved. Enjoy your well deserved vacation.

I was gutted when a guest arrived and told me that the wallpaper in our Mickey Mouse room was ripped, but so grateful he did as after trying to get the same paper unsuccessfully we decided to change it completely.
We bought the majority of what you see here with us, packed in our suitcases.
So finally, on our last day here we can show you our new Minions room.

The sun has finally made an appearance after 3 days of rain and cloud. So it’s all systems go getting Aquilo House ready for Ang & Dave’s arrival later this week.
“Suns out means guns out” - so out comes the pressure washer with the new 18’ gun so we can remove any algae from the fascia’s, let’s face it there is no way either of us are getting up ladders to reach the top bits 😊
Today it’s raining, not the usual 20 minute downpour then glorious sunshine, more like U.K. grey skies and U.K. rain, so no all outside work has been put on hold, we’ll for us anyway.
However we know know how the palm trees are trimmed, even in the rain 🙈

Guess that’s what happens when you buy it in the USA - everything is bigger 😝
It means no more using the ladders in the pool when cleaning the pool cage.
We don’t normally get to see this as they usually come around 4am 🙈
So simple yet so cool… the Nuneaton only has 1 staff member… the driver - he stops the bin wagon, picks the wheelie bin up using an arm the comes out, lifts it up and tips the trash out.
I’d love to see him using one of those machines at the fair, you know the ones were you use the crane to pick up a prize and try to drop it down the shoot to collect it.

First thunderstorm since we arrived… the poor guy carrying the child got soaked. Only thing for it was stay and have another drink.
