Looking for Halloween Festivities?

Be sure to visit the Davenport Pumpkin house. It is a very short drive from the resort. Located at 418 Grovepark Drive in Davenport nightly starting 10/13! Less than a mile from my doorstep. This is a free display, but donations are accepted and benefit cancer research at Advent Health.

**Spend a day shopping at the Vineland Outlet Mall. Stop by the Disney Character Warehouse and pick up some last-minute discounted souvenirs and merchandise

**Head to Disney Springs. Catch a movie, bowl, take the resort boat to get some of the famous Mickey beignets at S**t Cat's at the Port Orleans French Quarter Resort.

There is still so much to do and see.

We will never forget. Those of us that were old enough will never ever forget the events of 9/11. The details are vivid and will remain etched in our hearts forever. Every living soul wanted to help in some way. Donations of blood, and money came pouring in. Memorials popped up in nearly every city and town. Candlelight vigils honoring those lost and missing. Nearly every human was touched by loss, or knew someone close that experienced a loss. And American Patriotism rose to an all time high.

Honoring those that lost their lives!
And those that ran to ground zero!

Looking for some Disney fun on an off park day?

Stop by the Fort Wilderness Campground and the Tri-Circle-D Ranch. There is a stable full of horses and ponies. The ponies offer pony rides for children under 80 pounds and 48 inches tall. This is a parent led activity, so it's fun for the entire family. Saddle up and grab your helmet.

And if your little has outgrown, a small trail horse can be saddled up by request for an additional fee.

Fees are nominal. $8 for one lap, or $12 for two laps around the corral.

You will not be able to park at the campground without a dining reservation. So make it a full outing. Combines with either breakfast at Trail's End, or dinner and a show at Hoop de Do Review.

If these dining experiences don't sound mouth watering, you may park at Ticket and Transportation, do to the Magic Kingdom, and then take the boat to the campground.

What ever you decide, it will be a memorable experience.
